Exactly.This question is a catch 22.
If he falls to 18 it means something from now until the draft went terribly wrong for him, in which case we would most likely not want him.
So I am saying no.
I'm confident he would be just as talented in round 1 as he would be in any other round. Difference is what round he gets chosen. I don't think he lasts beyond the first round.Dart is a day 2 talent. A team that takes him in the 1st round is in for disappointment.
QBs drafted early only have a larger chance of "failure" because those players actually have expectations. Those drafted later either become the guy (rare) or become what they were expected: either backups or wash out of the league. A very disproportionate amount of the hits are drafted early.A QB who gets taken very early in the draft has as much, or more, chance of failure as one who gets chosen later in the draft. Usually teams that draft earliest are the lower ranked teams. Lower ranked teams are lower ranked for a reason, while those who pick later probably have better team structure enabling a young QB to develop and have the protection needed to succeed.
I don't believe Sanders or Dart will still be on the board at 18, but if both were still there Sanders would be available at 19. If Dart was gone and Sanders there at 18 I would choose the best available WR for Darnold to exploit, OR I would take Booker.
I remember Aaron Rodgers falling to 22 I think it was? That was because he was terrible for sure. If that many teams passed on him there had to be a reason.
No way that pick could ever work out.
I'm not saying we should take Shedeur but I find the argument that if he falls there that means he isn't any good rather silly.
If JS thinks he is a worthy pick there he most certainly will take him.
Just Travis Hunter and two other WRs that will be drafted, Horn and WesterI don't know man that dude made offense with little talent around him. Thats a trait you look for. The drama is the big question. If shit goes south, do you want his idiot dad shooting his mouth off every week in the media? If you took Dion out of it I'd be inclined to say yes. He's clearly talented.
Booker?Without question you take him
