No way he falls. It’s just too premium of a position.

But in fantasy land, I think you would have to take the gamble. I don’t even like Sanders and I would say you have to do it.

Yes, without a second thought. That would be an absolute gift.

He's not the elitest of athletes, but he's extremely talented, sees the field tremendously well, and I believe he would be a great fit for what we want to do. I don't like Deion either, but judging a prospect by who they're related to is the laziest form of scouting. I remember Lonzo Ball going through that same thing. The "evidence" I see people using to confirm their bias that Shadeur is an egomaniac and headcase are all either speculative or small potatoes things that could easily be attributed to a young man given tons of money and being constantly in the spotlight. I've never seen any indications that he's a bad locker room presence.

I don't think he'll fall even close though, and I don't know that we'd make the move if he did. We're pretty much "stuck" with Darnold the next two seasons, for better or worse. If we move on from him after next year, we'll have essentially paid him $54m to do so. I doubt those in charge would be on board with that.

I really hope the Hawks aren't put in that situation. He might wind up being a good starter for a number of years . You cant deny the talent. My issue would be his dad . That guy just irritates the hell outta me. If we can include a restraining order on big mouth daddy in the contract, I'd say yes, you take him at 18.

I would also take him but his attitude...I don't know, man...

He seems to be a bit too much like his old man.

I guess I would hold my nose and do it.

But as OLYhawks stated, they'll probably pull an Eli Manning/Philip Rivers here if that happened.

Yeah, he's willingly doing interviews with the Titans and Browns, but Seattle is where he'd draw the line. /s

I think the prevailing opinion is that there is no shot in hell he falls to us so whatever we say (whether it's nonsensical or not) is moot anyway.

IF he falls to 3 there will be teams trying to trade up to get him. If he falls to 18, JS will take him and trade him for a king's ransom.

If the question is: "If there's a way to get SSanders, would you do it?" That's a different ball of wax. I think he may be a good QB at some point but it'll take some time and some failure... in my opinion. The baggage/drama that comes with him isn't worth the risk and time... again... in my opinion.

If Sanders is there at 18, you take in the range of 19th -22nd and another pick in the second for him.

Absolutely you do. Everybody says you take the highest rated player on your board. But these same people never talk about the weight of the position group. If you have a chance to grab a franchise-altering quarterback, you jump on it every time. So yes, I'm taking a quarterback that I may have an 89 grade on over a wide receiver that I gave a 91.

I'd take him and trade him because no way he and his Dad would want to be here. I think it could be a similar situation to Rivers/Eli.
We need every pick possible before 18 to be non OL including Sanders.
