No chance. Peyton is cut from the same kind of cloth as Larry Fitzgerald. He's a consumate pro who shows up and plays his game. Sherm has shown complete and total respect for that kind of guy. Sherm has a track record of only talking shit to those who shit talk him first. Unlike Brady and his jack ass comments from a few years ago that spawned "you mad bro" I can't see Peyton doing anything to instagate the wrath of Sherman. Not only is he too smart to throw fuel on that fire, it's not his game.

Wait someone was just trying to convince me that he throws his teammates under the bus. I am so confused now.

I would absolutely hate that. Peyton is a good guy and should be respected for what he has done. Enough of this classless garbage.

How about just enough with this classless garbage period. Sportsmanship has a place in sports despite what the diehards on this board think.

Unless Manning makes it personal, there's a 0% probability that this happens.

Sherman will only come at you if you come at him first.

IE - Crabtree getting the noise VS Larry Fitzgerald getting all the props in the world.

I wouldn't like to see it, and I really doubt it ever happens.

Sherman respects Manning, plus Manning would never get into any kind of smack talk before hand.

PS, great banner pic there SouthSoundHawk

It's almost like there were 2 different posters, and one of them remembered that incident. Put on your big boy pants; stop being passive-aggressive.

Not me. It's Peyton Manning. Respect is due.

Aside from that, it's never a good look, in my opinion. My litmus test: would anyone here respect a man more after he made this gesture?

Sherman doesn't do stuff like that to guys he respects, and he respects Manning.

He doesn't talk trash about Steve Smith either, even though those guys go at it on the field. He respects him.

Most likely Sherm learned some lessons from that experience. I doubt we'll see anything that bad from him again.

Lol, given Peyton's neck issues, Sherm could say he was imitating a neck brace ;)

The Hawks vs 9ers rivalry is something crazy this year so that is a opponent you have a real beef with. Peyton Manning is a future HOF'er and nice guy/pro so i would expect nothing but respect from Sherman.
If Sherman started disrespecting P.Manning for no reason that would make him a young punk with no respect and Richard Sherman is not that their is a reason behind his madness.

I can see Sherm doing the finger wag, or the crazy finger to the head, but I don't see him doing the choke.

You can see it because the rivalry with the Niners is so heated, and he hates Crabtree so he was over the top. I honestly don't think he has a problem with Kaepernick either.

You don't see him talking to Fitzgerald.

You don't see him trash talking Rodgers from GB.

I'm convinced Sherman does everything for a specific reason, and most of it goes over nearly everyone's head. The choke sign at the end of that game was a specific reference to a scene in the Beats commercial that Kaepernick stars in and, by extension, willingly endorses. All the talk about how classless it was for Sherm to do that to Kaep when he never directed any venom or personal vendetta towards anyone on the Seahawks? Right.... That Beats commercial is directed at every one of us Seahawks fans posting on this board or otherwise, and that's Kaepernick front and center telling the world that's who we are. Guess what... That what you fear the most will meet you half way. Sherman was just the messenger.

No way in hell does Sherman do anything remotely similar directed at Manning.
