"@AdamSchefter: Update from Pro Day of Buffalo LB Khalil Mack: One longtime NFL scout just said he clocked Mack in the 40 at 4.45..."

Who knows what his time actually was...but apparently he is very, very fast

He is the reason if I was the Falcons I would not trade up to get Clowny. In fact I'm not sure that Khalil isn't a better prospect than Clowny given his lack of work ethic. Even if neither of those guys fall to them then they would have still have a massively talented tackle to pick there. I see no reason for them to give up picks to move up with so much value were they are at.

This is why prospects can be hesitant to perform at the combine. Pro day results are just ridiculously suspect.

Wonder if it was Casserly with his stopwatch keeping time.

If I were assembling a board, my top 5 (as of now) would be Robinson 1, Bortles 2, Mack 3, Watkins 4 and Gilbert 5.

Certainly goes against the grain of conventional thinking... and most likely don't agree with Gilbert so high (in particular), but IMO, these players are the most special of this very deep draft.

Clowney? Definitely special. But only when he wants to be.

I have a hard time trusting linebackers. Got to be careful not to overvalue them.

I Don't take a LB top 5 ever. Mack could be the next Bowman, but look how many great ones come from the 2nd n 3rd round. Plus Aaron Curry put a bad mark on them forever.

Bobby Wagner ran a 4.45, and we didn't have to spend a top 5 pick on him.

Bobby is a MLB and was known as a tackling machine. Mack gets to the QB like a Von Miller.

Mack was an early first round pick already... The speed is just a bonus, that is all

I started a new topic on September 2, 2013 entitled "Kahlil Mack" viewtopic.php?f=18&t=71785

This topic title has more of an eye-catcher, though. :th2thumbs: (Still... I'm more for reserving "Holy Catfish" for all things spectacular about the Seahawks only ;) - at least at this point.) I think it's tough to look back or search for posts already started, so I understand why new threads are often started about the same/similar topic.

My intention for posting it was more to get the guy on the radar of those who many not have heard of him. I wasn't making any predictions, projections, etc. Hopefully it served to do that, with 122 reads (but, no replies.) :hmmmm:

In any case, he's got everyone's attention now. He didn't need my help.
Why am I here? lol

^ Too bad you weren't able to buy stock in him, bro. How great would that be if we could? To actually put the thousands of hrs we spend doing this stuff to use.

A $10,000 investment in RW would be worth $500k in just 3 years (figuring he will make 50x more than his rookie deal +/-).

Anyway...great find on Mack.

You actually can now. I recall a news item from last year regarding Arian Foster futures. It's too bad that Arian Foster was part of the pilot program, I don't think those investment bankers will have too much of a market for other players they plan to underwrite.

Also, I believe you can become your own market maker on intrade.com and trade futures on virtually anything

^ I will have to look at this when I can better concentrate. Very cool and much appreciated!

OTOH, giving 10 mil to Foster for 20% of his future earnings may doom the company before they even get ramped up, lol.

If you're into investing, I'm very open to discussing.

I am a resource speculator (I understand many Canadian's are, too). I've made multiples on stocks like Reservoir Minerals and recently, Fission Uranium.

Currently invested in NexGen Energy and a beaten down gold stock in St Andrews Goldfields. I think NexGen has 4-5 bagger potential over the next 24 months and St Andrews is an easy double within the next 6-12 months.

Is there a forum on .NET to discuss stocks?

Interesting and again appreciated.

If you'd like to start a thread, I think the lounge would be a suitable place for such discussions. But watch out for lizards. ; )

Yeah. If instead, it was Russell Wilson, I would have sold everything I owned and loaded up on as many RW shs I could get my greedy mitts on.
