😂😂😂😂😂
First time I've seen the NFL Films crew unable to find one actual highlight for their segment. 8 minutes of trash. How sad.

A sack is a highlight.

I'm shocked that fans of a franchise that made its name on defense can't see the inherent beauty of a fine defensive performance. 7 sacks, 3 points. Tez would be rolling in his grave at some of these comments.

Some years ago, the Falcons played a game that also finished 6-3. The highlights show on Channel 4, showed a clip of Gerry Glanville reading his clipboard on the sideline and that was it.

Half of these fans would rather score 35 and lose than win 6-3. The defense giving up 36+ wouldn't even register. It's all about flashy fantasy stats and the endorphin rush they get seeing their team on highlight shows. The team could go 7-10 every year and they would be satisfied if the offense averaged 28. It gives those fans a false sense potential.

I completely agree, and while I was seriously disappointed by the inability of the Hawks O to move the ball I was impressed with a very strong show by the D. They played a suffocating game. I enjoyed watching our D play damn well.

As this season progressed the Seahawks D has improved each game after acquiring ILB - Jones who is a keeper. There have been stretches of weaker play but they seem to come together and play better after a weak showing. Against the Bears I believe you saw their best pass rush of the season from our team’s entire DLine and very strong play by the rest and with exceptional play from Witherspoon. The lights seem to have come on collectively for the D leading to hope we just watched it all come together in becoming that exceptional D we have been hoping to finally get back.

I must admit the lazy analysis by the mediots of grumble, grumble “what a lousy game” was more of true complaint of “where were either of the the offences”. It is easier to analyze scoring plays.

The real discussion about the game should focus upon the weakness of both offences, and their impossibly weak scheming. That D fielded by the Hawks was really worth re-watching.

I nominate Lockett for MVP and highlight player of the game. Had he not accosted the official who blew the play dead for runner down by contact the Chicago TD on return would have stood to be a game winning play. But the official in question nodded in agreement due to Lockett pressing the issue and a subsequent conference by the officials resulted in removing that TD from the scoreboard.

Lockett for MVP of the game!
