Great game last night.

http://www.heraldnet.com/article/20...eahawks-Chancellors-was-turning-point-of-game

Seahawks rookie cornerback Jeremy Lane was a target on San Francisco's first play from scrimmage, just as he was last week against Buffalo.

Both teams went deep on their first play from scrimmage, trying to break a wide receiver free against Lane, who is starting in place of suspended Seattle cornerback Brandon Browner and injured cornerback Walter Thurmond.

Neither team succeeded, and there's a good reason for that, said Seattle's Richard Sherman, the team's other starting cornerback.

"(Lane) is a tremendous talent," Sherman said. "He's a starting caliber corner."

He might be the replacement for Browner somewhere down the line. He did give up the touchdown to Walker, though.

Saw him playing in preseason and was hoping we'd keep him. He's special no doubt.

Whatever he was in zone and he let his guard down cause all the scrubs were in. Don't we usually play man and off-man?

Interesting segue - every time we were in zone, the 49ers made us pay last night. I love it when we're in man - it really puts a lot of pressure on the opposing offense.

Well, to his credit, it was only moments after Anthony Davis tried to rearrange his bones.

I dont want Thurmond back next game, he will get hurt. Save him for the playoffs so he can play for a half before going out again.

I'm glad Lane is getting this experience now with Browner and Thurmond out. If we're going to reach the Super Bowl, theres a good chance we'll be playing at GB along the way, and we'll need all the quality corners we can get to match up against their deep receiving corp.

Jeremy Lane looks a bit undersized to me. Am I the only one?

Compared to our other DBs, probably so.

Replays showed that Walker didn't complete that catch. Had they gone through the normal laborious review process, it would have been overturned most likely. And even if he did, it was a perfect throw high in the corner of the endzone. It was virtually undefendable. A great play by Kaepernick.

We play zone on every defensive snap. All our cover guys do not play man each and every time.

Kaepernick is money against a zone D. Hopefull Bradley smartens-up in that regard. Lanes has been performing well, but there are teams that can and will be him with big WRs. I really hope Sherman wins his appeal. Sure would be awesome having him and BB for the playoffs.

I'm with you. He looks Kelly Jennings sized despite being listed just a hair under six foot.

Kelly Jennings would have been heavier if he had had arms.

That play looked like it was on Ron Parker to me.

BTW: It's pretty cool how all these corners we have are doing well. Danny Gorrer had an INT for the Bucs yesterday and Phillip Adams starts for the Raiders.
