Have you given up post season hopes yet?

Dammit, that Jim Mora meme is never handy when I need it. Could have sworn I saved it to something.

Not yet. I actually think we do something like get in by the skin of our teeth, while simultaneously preventing a "better" team from getting in, and then going on to get absolutely MOLLYWHOPPED in the wildcard game by someone like Tampa or something.
Sounds about right...

I really don't think our Defense can get there though, but I wouldn't be shocked if we did.

Hopes? I mean I can hope for a Super Bowl win still. But my expectations for this team was missing playoffs even before the start.

Nope. Still have hope they can figure some things out.
This is where I am. I mean, we were -3 in Turnover differential and still in the game with less than 2 minutes left.

We have been run on for 175+ yards three times and we either won the game (vs. Pats) or were still in it up until the near end. Like, we are still doing SOMETHING right.

But man does something need to get fixed in our run defense. Being still in the game after 3 turnovers gives you hope. Remembering that we IMMEDIATELY gave up two straight running plays to essentially let the Niners ice the game at the end of it is like strangling that hope with the power cord from your TV...

But I'm one of those who never gives up on the playoff hunt until we are mathematically eliminated, so that's where I sit.

TBH I've given up hope of winning another game this year. I still will watch and root for the team, but I could see them losing out, and not caring much, MM has nearly lost the locker room already, two more games and the team will quit. This year's team has no drive, no fight, and very little talent, and is led by a clueless guy out of his depth.

In some ways it’s amazing we were even in that game considering all the mistakes we made. I strangely feel better about this team after tonight

Looking at the schedule going forward I see one, maybe two wins realistically, and that will take EVERYTHING going our way to squeak by.... We *might* be able to beat the Bears and Cardinals once, but every other game we get BLOWN out and the games will not be close.

It'd be crazy to give up on the post season. I mean, I wouldn't put money on it, but until we're mathematically eliminated it seems kind of unnecessary.

The last 2 seasons, we never controlled if we make the playoffs or not. We had to rely on other teams losing to make it to the playoffs...It will probably be the same again this year. Missed opportunity against the Giants. Would have soften the blow from the loss today. I had them at 8-9 or 9-8 but i dont think that will be good enough this year.
