Maybe there is something to having good o-line coaching and plays called that don't take forever to execute! I re-watched the whole first half and concentrated on just the o-line. I am stoked for the coming out party of the new and properly coached Seahawks O-Line.

Are the days of long developing plays from shotgun over? I hope so.

The OL looked really good in the first half last night. If they play anywhere near that well in the regular season I'm going to be absolutely giddy.

They looked prepared and dominant.

However, weren’t they playing against most of the Chiefs 2nd stringers? Chris Jones wasn’t out there.

I’m hesitant to get excited about this until they perform like that against a legit starting unit.

I get what you’re saying, but I feel like the oline of the last bunch of years would struggle mightily against even backups.

Most of what I’m hearing from pundits is, “ is the Seahawks offensive line that good, or is the Chiefs defense that bad? “

I can live with that

I was jacked to see us take our first possession right down the field for the TD. No better way to start a game than that. I noticed big holes for our runners and that out runners were on task all night long. This one was a real confidence builder and I am sure made believers out of a lot of doubters.

Valid point, plus we don't know what the Chiefs were prepping for or scheming against.

However, the consistancy is what impresses me, and many pundits as well. That's two games in a row where they blocked well and ran well. Both games over 150 yards rushing IIRC, and 268 yards last night. That kind of performance, even against scrubs, gives the O-line confidence and practice.

The second possession was a sight to behold as well.

Eight consecutive running plays followed by a pass play for a TD.

Chuck Knox would have loved it.

Chiefs had 5 of their starters out there and Jones was the only defensive stand-out-star not playing.
Credit where it's due, the Seahawks Offensive line didn't perform like scrubs, there's been an obvious improvement in their play over the last few weeks.

Still don't know for sure if it's just a preseason mirage, but that run game was something to see. 477 yards total offense and 268 yards rushing is nothing to sneeze at. And that was without Charles Cross.

I liked the run concepts, both the inside zone and outside zone runs. Especially compared to whatever that was that Ryan Grubb was trying to do last year.

And so many of the run yards came before contact! What a concept!

I was glad to see Anthony Bradford out there with the starters, redeeming himself after an abysmal 2024 season. Was that really him out there last night? He looked good, man. I mean forget Grey Zabel, Bradford was the man last night.

Glad to see that Bryce Cabeldue was not seriously hurt and returned to the game later. And who the heck is Federico Maranges?

It was absolutely refreshing to witness that oline work! It's been too long!

Yes it was. Sharp and crisp execution.

I thought big Josh Jones showed up well at left tackle. The manner in which he fit in suggests improved depth.

This year is going to be special.
