I hated him at USC and was very much against the hire at first, but I'm happy to have had to eat crow on that. He knows the NFL more than I gave him credit for, his youthfulness is inspiring, and I'm really happy Paul Allen gave him a chance. I regret all the bad language I used when ESPN reported that "it would be a surprise if it didn't happen". Happy 71st!

i'd venture to say pete's only got a couple seasons left in the tank. regardless of some of his past failures and regardless of what happens this season, i'm still appreciative for what he's done. pete carroll raised the bar for seahawks nation.
