I don’t see much about Grubb today but he was masterful today. He adapted and took what the Patriots gave him and then did it over and over and over etc. Geno’s pass chart matches this as well. After the rough start last week in the first half he adapts and finds a way to help the offense. I wasn’t as hard on Waldron as some here but I think they’re difference between Waldron and Grubb is a massive gulf.

Geno seems like the perfect fit for Grubb too.

Absolutely more forward thinking than a lot of the other coordinators they’ve had over the last decade. With this said, why he didn’t use McIntosh at all did not make any sense.

Yep. The Huskies screwed up big time.

I knew it then too.

Grubb's a rookie NFL OC and he is doing a great job with what he has.

Geno is looking like Penix out there. Things could be much much worse.....

I really feel like he was up and down. It is his 2nd game so I can see how our offense doesn't look great at times. My only concern is the college type running plays I've seen.

Grubb's has had some rough patches, but something I see from him is he's not afraid to deviate from the plan. If it's not working, he's quick to try something else, or look or some other wrinkles. He's adaptable and when he goes uptempo, he really seems special.

Learning curve, but he'll be a hell of an OC in the long run. IF he sticks around. Very likely will get some HC offers in College.

I would have preferred going up by 7 on that first drive in the third quarter and I certainly didn't like the play call. Our line isn't playing well enough for slow developing plays inside in that situation. That feels like the only issues I had with play calling yesterday

I can see both sides of it. I'm likely in the minority. I wanted them to go for it. I just didn't like the play call they had in that situation.
Would have been more than fine with just taking the 3.

I didn't care for the second 4 and 1 attempt myself. Would have preferred the FG attempt. We won the game, but that FG might have precluded the OT period.

Like Geno said in post-game, they expected to go get a game winning TD even if Love doesn't block that kick. I did too. And it wasn't for Fant dropping that perfect pass, they likely do get a game winning TD.

I guess I lied when I said that was the only play call I didn't like. New OC but this team still can't run effective bubble screens.

Wait... More Bobo? or More Bubble? I'm so confused...

The legendary Seahawks Signature bubble screen... the easiest guaranteed 0.5 yards per play in NFL history.

I actually disliked Macdonald's early defensive calls relative to loving Grubb's early "hurry up" offensive strategy. It didn't take long for me to figure out that Hunter Henry was Brissett's safety blanket. Every inexplicable escape by Brissett from a seemingly certain sack ended as a desperation, off balance completion to Hunter Henry. Further, the running back Rhamondre Stevenson was not involved in the check downs at all as if the Patriots lacked confidence in his receiving skills. Within the first Patriot offensive series I was saying out loud, "The ball is going to Henry here.", only to witness it unfold as predicted. If a novice like me can pick up on it that quickly, then I kind of feel like the defensive eyes up in the booth were asleep at the switch. It took far too long to recognize the tendency and relay it down to the sideline. It took far too long to make the necessary defensive adjustment.

He will have NFL head coaching opportunities within 5 years if he's actually as good as he has looked so far. If he had previous NFL experience, he would have offers within 3 years.
