Since, even if we miraculously make the playoffs, we won't likely go far...

My 2nd team, the Lions are gonna take their first title this year, I can feel it!

Maybe cover all the bases and pick a 3rd and 4th team… how ever many it takes to feel good at the end of the year

I'm really pulling for those guys this year. Still it will be small consolation for us sucking.

It's not like that at all. I fell in love with the Lions in the Barry Sanders days. It was BECAUSE of Sanders' running style. Scott Mitchell and Herman Moore and some of the other WRs were fun to watch too (but without Barry I'd never have cared). They actually made playoff appearences back in those days too. It was also years the Seahawks looked hopeless.

Nothing wrong with being a secondary fan to another team. I always root for teams with no titles to get one. I was somewhat stoked to see the Lambs get their first, but since both they, and the Titans were titleless, and the Titans were the dogs, I was disappointed because I was rooting for them. Same thing the year Cincy lost (though I did not watch that game).

Vikings another, and Falcons too. That's all stuff after the season is over anyway, and it happens mostly after we're done for the year one way or another.

I always have rooted for the Lions to make the playoffs, but I stopped watching after Barry retired. I started again when Campbell got us into the playoffs and last year. I'll never root for the Lions over the Hawks, but when Seahawk hope is gone, I'll always root for these scrappy, hungry, disrespected team in Detroit.

To this day Barry Sanders (and less so Napoleon Kauffman), are my favorite RBs all time. They had a similar style but Kauffman was a Raider, and the coach though he was too small, so they never featured him.

Hell I'm old enough to recall "Air Coryell" fondly. The Chargers had the INSANE offense. I rooted for them because that was so fun to watch, was hard not to. That was a fondness for the players though, never the Chargers as a team.

So do you talk the same mad shit about their players and coaches when they don’t execute every single play?

I don't know where I ever talked "mad shit every time" of anything. I don't think MM will ever be a good head coach for us, but I could be wrong. I'm also not overly impressed with K9. But never talked "mad shit" Yeah I've had some depressed days for sure though. Anyway. IDC what you think, but to make accusations like that, probably ought to have evidence.

One bad day, as I admitted to have had. Yeah I had a negativity meltdown that game. It happens with passionate fans.

Anyway go on if you like, but the whole "You're not a good fan" argument is so tired. Be a fan however you like. I'm not one to tell others how to be fans, and I suggest others not bother either, but you be you. BTW we're about to lose again likely, but I still have hope. If we do lose this week, I gotta give the defense real kudos for fight. The offense is sad, probably a bad line, but Grub is cutting teeth too.

On second thought, you've convinced me, I'm a terrible Seahawks fan. I guess I will give up being a Seahawks fan because I'm so bad at it. Thanks![/sarcasm]
