No, Agnew's salary is the same. But only three years on his deal since he was undrafted. 5'10, 247. Started all six games for the Browns at FB with a couple catches; reportedly caught the ball well in practice, which is a good thing in a Carroll offensive system. Good athlete, ran the 40 in 4.68 seconds at his pro day. Also had a 9-foot, 10-inch broad jump, a 4.24-second short shuttle, a 7.13-second cone drill and a 30-inch vertical. Appeared in 45 games at Southern Illinois, and as a senior, served as lead blocker for an SIU offense that averaged 153.1 rushing yards per game, over four yards per carry, and 14 touchdowns in 2013… Father, Ray, played 11 seasons in the NFL as a defensive tackle and currently works in the player personnel department for the St. Louis Rams. PFF gave him a negative run blocking grade through his six starts, but that's not uncommon for a rookie fullback.

I always loved the fact that Small is short, but weighs like 252 lbs due to muscle mass.

I've been looking for plays of Ray Agnew, and he does seem kind of lost at times. He was hardly used as a lead blocker in the red zone, which is odd. Only played 18 snaps in his last start . . . and appeared to block one of his own teammates on a play. He definitely needs a lot of work between the ears, but the raw potential is there.

Here's a decent block from Agnew on an Isaiah Crowell TD. He takes a good angle to chip the defender here, but does not appear to really drive his legs to sustain the block.

Too bad the Browns made this Kiero move first thing this morning. Agnew is available, however, would he be the best choice?

An option might be to sign Nikita Whitlock off the Cowboys practice squad. He is a NT/DT-->FB convert, who set records for the combine/pro day workouts at Wake Forest for like 43 bench presses or something crazy like that.

He has good hands, is an excellent athlete, and may become quite a battering ram of a fullback.
