Good points. I couldn't have been more wrong about Geno, and that's a good thing. He's a leader and is clearly locked in. Hopefully he earns all of those incentives, because that equals a lot of success for the team.
No doubt! I was wrong too…but if you consider his career prior to last year, I think doubting him was well warranted.

Geno is proving to be a great character guy. I love that about him. Assuming we draft his successor, it's nice to know he's on board. I hope it all works out like we envision.

To me this seems like a great contract for the team and him. But I get the feeling it is like Matt Flynn and RW. We signed Matt only to go after what we wanted in the 3rd round.
Just a feeling.

Geno's not dumb. He got his big contract, but he could realistically be cut after a year. Seattle has a fairly good chance of getting either Richardson or Levis at #5, they'll more than likely grab one of them and Geno is expecting it.

Didn't we also have a previous starter in Tavaris Jackson as well.

All that and it didn't matter when RW3 stepped on the field for the first time and the rest was history.

Kid was unreal to watch run circles around people when he was young

It was just a gut feeling. I have been known to have bad gut feelings too. I remember this one time.........Nevermind.

Hopefully he’s ok with getting cut. Actually I don’t care. I just want to win. McDonald would cut him tomorrow if he could.

Geno smith will not be with the seahawks next season
I think he will. Geno with more time and a better offensive scheme beats his 2022 numbers and Hawks have an 11+ win season. If Grubb improves, Geno improves. If OL improves, Geno improves. If run game improves, Geno improves. If a developmental QB is acquired, Geno is one of the best mentors in the league. We saw him mentor and encourage Drew Lock, so he has a history there that can be trusted.

When they say teach or mentor a young QB.
How does this work?
I don't think I want a new QB learning how to hold
the ball too long and tossing risky bullets.

Is Lock a successful mentoring story for Geno to add to his resume?

Sam Darnold looked very good yesterday, is relatively young and is a FA next season. Should we consider making a run at acquiring him?

Geno seems to be a great guy and someone who is easy to support as a fan. I hope they finally bring a rookie in to learn behind Geno. I’m sure that would be the best thing for both of the players and certainly for the team.
