Cardinals maybe, or bridge in Indy till Daniels heals, or Dolphins bridge. Or Giants could need a back up for Dart :) Some irony there on 2 levels, then there is always the Steelers waiting for Rodgers and needing someone.

Pouty Geno would not be good for a Rookie.

So glad he chased the money. Doubt we win a super bowl with him last year.
I think I can say with 100% confidence that we would not have.

Although we were a team based on defense I don't think our defense would have been quite as engaged with Geno under center. The whole team seemed to really, genuinely love Sam, & he loved them back. I doubt they would have had his back Like they did for Sam.

I think that's just reality.

He's got Me3, Kyler and Tua competing with him for jobs!
The Me3 tree against Genoooo.

I'm calling it now: Geno and the Vikings hosting Darnold and the Seahawks in next year's NFC Championship Game. This saga comes full circle!
That'd be an awkward time to have my only non-Russ jersey be a throwback Geno from when they went on clearance.

*sigh* Time to go shopping for another Fanatics piece of crap.

At that point, I might just stick with legit vintage jerseys bought off Ebay or something.

He'd have melted down in one of the Rams/9ers games whether regular or play offs in my opinion. 9ers especially never respected him and smelled blood.

Zero chance we win a SB or make a SB with Geno last year. I wish him the best moving forward but yeah thankfully John didn't listen to Seahawks Twitter on Geno.
Appreciate Geno for being a good stop gap after Wilson and stopping us bottoming out but we are probably just a border line play off team with him last year.

I hate the way the NFL dot com article states things. Maybe it's just me, but accounting in 2026 rather than 2027 for $18.5M paid to a player in 2025 is a million miles away from paying $18.5M to a player for 2026 season play then telling him to go away before the 2026 season begins. I would have thought Smith was worth more than $8.5M to another team, which would have opened up some trade options. Heck, the Dolphins chose to sign and pay Zach Wilson $6M as a FA last season. Surely Smith is better than that?

I really feel sorry for that Mendoza kid.

Other than the $50+ million he's gonna get as the #1 pick in the draft, I agree. That franchise is a dysfunctional mess, and has one of the very worst OL's in the league. Mendoza is going to get David Carr'd on that dumpster fire of a team.

Potentially 3 of them will only be able to earn NFL veteran minimum salary. If so I hope all 3 have the sense to stay home and wait for playoff opportunities.
