Funny story, Russell didn't want to come out of the game

Selfishness ... Yup, that's what it is. A team guy would never complain about keeping the rest of the team sharp. Because we never know what could happen. Nobody wishes anything bad, but this is football. If you get a chance to give other players some reps, it needs to be done in the interest of the TEAM. It is that simple. The only stat that matters are W and Ls. I hope Pete has made it very clear.

Great story on Mitch in the Morning today. I wish there was any possible way to capture this or ask any witnesses about it.

We all saw Russell standing on the sidelines with his helmet still on after he was taken out. It turns out he wasn't too happy about coming out, and he wanted to play more, so he stood there next to the coaches with his helmet on, looking just a touch on the pouty side.

Supposedly Marshawn moseys his way over to him and says something like, "wait, YOU'RE SAD!!", and started clowning Russell pretty hard.

We're up 30 some odd points and Russell instead of being happy and laughing, Russell is sad he can't go back in. I think a lot of us who played the game knew a couple guys that have similar personalities to the extremes of both of these guys. I absolutely would have doubled-over had I been on that sideline.

You just don't make fun of the prodigal quarterback, and I don't know anybody outside of Marshawn could have pulled this off.

Heard about this from Pete the other day. Also, ya know another player that didn't want to come out and actually stayed in the game in a beatdown? Peyton Manning

Yep, Manning was still in the game until the end even though they had clearly beat down the Raiders and he should have left after the 3rd quarter.
