Travis completed 64 percent of his passes in 2023 for 2,755 yards, 20 touchdowns and two interceptions. He used his legs to do some damage on the ground with seven scores. Travis was receiving third-day grades from some teams for the 2024 NFL Draft before suffering a gruesome lower leg injury in Florida State’s penultimate game of the regular season.

This is the guy the Seahawks should target. Williams, Maye, Daniel's, Nix and even Penix may all be gone when it's time for the Seahawks to make their pick. Even so, I don't think I would use a 1st on him, but if we could somehow trade back into the 2nd or if he's there in the 3rd, absolutely I would pull the trigger. Let him sit behind Geno for a year, rehab that leg, then 2025 take over.

I like the idea of taking Travis if they miss out on Penix, but as one of the comments on that video pointed out, he needs to learn to go through his progressions. That video could almost double as a Keon Coleman highlight reel.

I don't see him struggling through progressions as much as others.



What I don't see is that precision on deep balls. Keon Coleman is pretty impressive as a route runner.

I think he also has decent touch. I think he's a great late round pickup if you're not drafting a QB earlier.

His size will limit his ceiling imo. He has a bad habit of throwing off his back foot. Needs to refine his footwork. That will improve his accuracy on throws down the field.

Oh yeah, he's a long-shot. That damn back foot is a killer for a lot of these guys (Rattler too).

Mechanics.... OK, we can work with that. He got the biggest chip on his shoulder then anybody in this draft. I'd give'em a shot. I think John would love him.

I think if JS & MM don't have a better idea of the QBOTF, Travis is a fun prospect to let sit behind Geno and redshirt a year or so while he heals his injury, then gives him plenty of time not to rush back. Can adapt to the NFL game and step in '25 when he looks ready.

He's probably the best day 3 prospect. I don't think his ceiling is any higher than, say, DTR... but that's worth a day 3 shot.

He's rough mechanically. A lot of really poor habits and weird throws. Bad deep accuracy. But you can't teach playmaking.

I think he ends up being a plus backup that bounces around the league, probably gets some playing time here and there.

Idk? Agree he has a lot of refining to due to his game. I think if he lands with a good QB coach & OC, he could be a solid starter? After sitting 1-2 years he could be everything a Brock Purdy is? With the idea we have a top 5 defense in couple years, that should be good enough to make deep playoff runs possibly?

Oh, he could end up being that type of player eventually. I just don't think it's particularly likely. I don't think I ever see him developing that passing skillset that a Brock Purdy has. Brock knew how to use touch and whatnot very well. I think Travis has to built from the ground up in that regard.

Never say never, I just don't think it is a bet we could count on.
