I'm a little (pleasantly) surprised Spoon made it. Considering he missed a little time and didn't have many splash plays (which they say shouldn't matter for corners, but then always reward the ones that have them). Really speaks to the reputation he has earned as an elite DB.

Top Billin' calls him a terrible cover corner, but a great football player.

Ernest Jones being let go by multiple teams is one of the biggest head scratching things I’ve seen in the NFL in a long time. Usually if someone is let go who is that talented, it’s because something else is going on, but that wasn’t the case with him. It just doesn’t make any sense.

Worthy picks. I love the ridiculous amount of talent on this team.
Was thinking about it earlier this morning. We have an absolutely damn near unfair amount of talent on our Defense, as well as an offense that can light up the scoreboard with the best of them. I actually am now at the point of anything less than a trip to the big game THIS season is pretty much a failure.

Exactly, given that a couple of those critical pieces (Williams, Reed) are getting up there in age and a number of other role-players (Mafe, Woolen, Jobe, Walker) are all probably going to require replacement. You just kinda want to strike while the iron's hot.

I feel like if we don't.... Actually, I'm not even gonna say it. Too painful to even think about, let alone put it in writing.

I think you're right. In the NFL, you never know when everything is going to come together for a team. So you absolutely have to take advantage of it. It's like what Dan Campbell said a couple of years ago about it being the Lions' year, and how the chance might not come again.

That being said, I feel pretty good about the age of the team. The Seahawks are the 6th youngest team in the NFL (using average age of starters), and even younger when you look at the whole roster.
