FCS Championship

Not that many here will care, but it was a big night for us Montana State Bobcat fans, as we took home the FCS national championship tonight, winning by 1 point in overtime, after blocking their OT extra point kick.

Looking forward to a year where both my teams win the ultimate championship in their leagues.

It was one of the best games I've ever watched. Illinois state was down 14-28 with 10 minutes left in the game, and came back to tie it up.

Montana State blocked field goal, to send it into overtime, where Illinois promptly scored a TD.

We were discussing whether Montana State should go for two if they also scored a TD, when they blocked the extra point.

They drove the field, but Illinois got them into 4th and 10 at the 14.

Despite an all-out blitz, and an off balance throw, Taco Dowler hauled in the 14-yard TD pass. The extra point was good to seal the win and the FCS national championship trophy!
