NFL analyst Warren Sharp took to Twitter to call out Duane Brown for what looked liked at first glance a play in which he apparently gave up to complain to the ref. That play resulted in Russell Wilson getting sacked. Brown responded with the following tweet.

A former Seahawk who may know a thing or two on how the position is played came to Brown's defense

Brown blocked for 6 full seconds on that play where Wilson was sacked 13 yards behind the LOS but he “got Russ sacked”?

Lots of failures to flag hands to the face of Seahawk offensive linemen this year. It's been a persistent problem. A number of linemen have been affected in 2019. G/C Ethan Pocic is working his way back from a neck injury.

I'm with Brown on this one. The sack will show as his fault on the stat sheet, but I blame the refs for a pretty clear missed call.

I mean, yeah, Brown could've prevented the sack if he doesn't get tilted from the rusher's cheating, but he did just block a guy for 5-6 seconds with his helmet sideways from illegal hands to the face. Brown wasn't perfect there. He was just freaking fantastic!

Yet the Packers get that call twice in the same game when it never even actually happened.

Warren Sharp? C'MON-MAN! Has he ever played the game, ever?
You don't make a comment like that, about a pro bowl LT, without being a complete stat NERD.
I'd like to see this BUM hold his ground when Brown sweeps the left side as he did a few times in that game. Amazing Big Man!

warren sharp ...STFU!!

The refs were very hands-off during that game. If I remember right, we only had one penalty, and it was a 30 yard DPI. We got away with a few delays of game and a false start.

I'd be more upset about the missed call if it weren't for the fact that the refs let both teams play, for the most part. The Hawks had an uncalled false start, and probably could've been flagged for PI on Flowers' pick. I'd honestly prefer games be called this way.

I have a hard time calling that a sack...looked more like Russ just spun out there and lost traction..!!

I kinda agree with everyone.

Brown's gotta keep the play up, not start posturing for the refs. But he got seriously rooked on that play by the defender.

Of course, Wilson held onto the ball too long, too.

Gotta agree! It was awesome watching a game called like that. 4 called penalties all game.
