Does anyone else remember this team?

One more season in the AFC West where 10-6 missed the playoffs. Some years, 9-7 missed due to tiebreakers. It was always like that in the AFC. We'd have made it to the Super Bowl that year if we'd not lost Krieg. Which makes me think of two things:

1: So glad to be in the NFC where a wildcard berth is much easier today than it was in the AFC back then.

2: We should have kept Flynn. Gale Gilbert Part Deux is a very real possibility when only 1 out of 4 QB's go all year without missing a game.

I remember the 1986 season well.

We were playing the football in the NFL at the end of the regular season.

So disappointing that we didn't make the playoffs.

That hurt.
