DK was never great route runner. He wouldn't have worked well in this Kubiak WCO. This was a great move.

Don't love the return or losing his play

Also didn't love the idea of 5/$150M

Fully realizing it's not my money, that contract would make me nervous - he's honestly probably a tier or two below that level of contract, but still a guy who brought a lot to the table

I'll miss watching him play - he contributed in a ton of ways, just not always the expected ways

No point in really dissecting all that anymore - wish it wasn't Pittsburgh

So this is the second place that I’ve seen that the Steelers do not have a six round pick to give up. What is the late round swap?
Steelers swap a 7th round pick for a Seahawks 6th round pick.

Not a huge deal, but damn! I would say that if they would’ve traded him before last season, they could’ve gotten much much much more for him.

So does that zero out DK money for the cap? Is that another $30 mill?
No, so trading DK before June 1st only saves us $10.8 million. We still have the 4th most cap space this year and the most cap space next year.

DK is 5/$150 million but it’s an extension of 4/$132 million so he is basically getting $33 million/year. Thats top 3 WR money now behind Jefferson and Lamb.

DK isn’t a fit in this system. He is very limited route running. Need strong route running and timing in this offense.
