Hard to reconcile that only being worth only 2 games if the Derick Hall BS being worth ONE. We live in the Twilight Zone.

I would have been shocked if the punishment had been less than a 2-game suspension.
Emotional maturity has never been the dudes strong suit.

Gotta feel like the biggest asshole on earth for missing 2 games before the playoffs PLUS throwing away half a ticket for swinging on a fan and not even being able to land the blow

Don’t get me wrong…that was a ‘weak’ altercation, I’ve had more contact in the men’s sauna at LA Fitness (stopped going btw).
But, there was no way in hell that was going to happen without the league coming down on DK.
I doubt a civil lawsuit gets the fan anything in return unless they settle out of court prior to.

Like Jigga said, "Look, if I shoot you? I'm BRAINLESS. You shoot me? You're FAMOUS. What's a ***** to do?" on "Streets Is Watching". It's a lose lose. As a former hothead that's gotten into trouble for it, with FARRRR LESS to lose, I would demand DK hurry up and go to a good therapist and anger management sessions. It will do nothing but good for the young man to find out exactly why he is so angsty and quick tempered.

I can understand a clause to make guarantees null and void if a player gets suspended for doing something stupid but "for any reason" includes injury if some defender charges into you with helmet to helmet contact putting you into concussion protocol do players really lose their guarantees?

I assume that there’s a lot of legal wording where the article puts the … that explains the technicalities. The way I read it is that it would be anything of the players own doing. Non on the field stuff. I assume they pulled out just enough to prove the point of the article.
Also just because they can nullify doesn’t mean they will.
