Just wanted your thoughts about if it would be worth it to put Shaquim in for Diggs? Does he have the speed? Would putting him on an island be ok? Is he better in the Linebacker location attacking the qb? I do understand that Diggs is probably out for the duration, so is quim a better option than going with prevent the win Defense?

Thoughts. :?:

You have updated info on Diggs injury? I refuse to count Diggs out until I see the diagnosis.

No. I am just looking for options should the situation turn worse. The tweet on the other thread....

"Pete Carroll says Quandre Diggs has a high ankle injury. They don't know exactly how severe the impact will be, as all players respond to these injuries differently. They're going to have to see how the week goes, but it doesn't sound great, As of now, "we don't know"".

That is all that we all know.

I’ve never understood why people think it’s so easy for guys to make a significant position change. It’s hard enough for these guys to concentrate on one position and make a career out of it. That’s why it’s so valuable to have a guy who can play one position and contribute in another. Like a TE who can play a little FB. Moving from edge rusher to safety would be impossibly difficult, especially for a guy who was hot garbage as an off-the-ball LB last season.

No for all the reasons stated. You are talking about a player that's not great in space moving to a position that is all about not making errors in space.

He's a special teamer with some rotational pass rush skills. That's his slot in the NFL. If he was something else then Pete would be putting him there.

Like his energy and speed but he's not a defensive back. Blair and Hill are far superior replacements for Diggs.

Definitely! Let's provide some extra hitting power and maybe some pass rush ability from the deep safety position. Can only be a positive. Would love to see some receivers cower in fear at the sight of him coming downhill.
