Did we just barely beat a bunch of backups

We screwed up the Rams by winning. If the Rams won, they would be playing a rookie QB and the Commanders next week. But we won, so they will play a 14 win team next week. The Rams screwed up by not playing their starters. I would of done everything possible to avoid playing the Vikings or Lions in week one of the playoffs

Umm.. they werent all backups .. come on now.. not nearly as many as the announcers tried to make it seem like. Aslo this is the same rams team and same (less injured) seattle team that took it to OT with the rams. a W is a W

Speaking of backups looked to me like after Riq got hurt the Rams feasted on going after our #4 and #5 corners (Burns and Pritchard). I was wishing we could scheme up more to stop than.
Had trouble with screens too.

What the Rams did really showed me what you can do on O with a good scheme and play calling. We don't have that on O imo and that's the biggest difference between our 2 teams.

334 yards for Jimmy G without Puka or Kupp, and in his first action of the season. Sure made this defense look overrated.

And Jimmy could be a starter for 31 other teams in the NFL... and has also been to a SB a few ... so i mean Jimmy G isnt as bad as people like to imagine. And McVays system is designed for dudes like Stafford and Jimmy. Hell even Geno would probably do good they're not mobile.

To be a little merciful here...Jimmy G was an NFL starter for a few years and had success. It's not like he's a rookie or some scrub backup.

But yes...the D made him look much better than I would have preferred.

Seems like our guys making a backup QB look good is something of a tradition. It is a predictable result.

The backup QB often does better with the bakcup WRs anyway. They practice with them more. ;)

We probably gave the Rams a ton of confidence too.

Yup I was hoping we would completely annihilate them and send them to the playoffs with a nice solid L but we probably just gave them enough confidence to win the superbowl.

A win that is a loss long term for the team.

Worse draft position
No new insights if Howell would be a playable starter
An excuse for JS not to do jack shit to improve the QB position

A loss really.

Draft position is overrated after the top 10.
We already saw Howell is complete garbage so get rid of his ass.
As bad as Geno has been, there are no other QBs that are even respectable to look at. The best we will do is get another crappy qb but on a much cheaper deal then Geno.

We really need to focus on the Trenches on both sides of the ball before anything else and going up 1 or 2 draft positions doesnt really do much unless you are in the top 10 or maybe top 15. Also this team is more than just 1 draft player away from competing.

Worse draft position by one place. From 17 to 18.
Coaches see Howell every day.
Expect the unexpected. You never know.

A win is a win. Always. Ten wins means something.

He entered halfway through the game against a top 5 team who had Grubb's offense completely locked down while Grubb had him throw 19 passes in a row while admittedly not changing any of the play calls to help his backup. Hardly a good litmus test
