Sam is what he is. Blue collar fighter that’s just not that great. Sometimes he’s on a roll but when it gets hot he struggles. So maybe Minnesota said ok Sam’s alright but we got the kid and Sam is limited so let’s just go all in on the kid. So now yeah we got Sam, is he better than geno? Debatable, I like Sam more as a leader I guess, but there is no way we can sit back and think Sam is anything more than a bridge. We gotta do something spectacular in the draft to get a real QBOTF or something… I can’t just watch Sam and hope all the time…

Yeah I get it. Nobody wants to hear it but I’m seeing a trend with Sam and I don’t care man. When he was a Viking how many were worried about him. I wasn’t. And of course I saw the good stuff he was doing earlier but now I am losing trust and confidence in him. Right as im typing this he throws a td…

So before last Sunday Minnesota made a terrible decision. Now they made a great decision. 🤦🏼‍♂️
I didn’t say great. I said good. And there’s a difference. Good means the best decision in the moment, kinda like us trading Geno and signing Sam, great means they did something no one else would have and they were right.

My main concern was his ability to not throw picks while under pressure

Despite that and even after last week

He is a massive upgrade. Massive

We get our OL back and build around him then we can win games. Add to that his young age and relative inexperience and decision making under pressure will improve.

Finally his contract wasn't outrageous. This is not a Watson situation but right now we are winning a lot more than we are losing and have ability to move on especially after next year

I’m not saying we were wrong to take Sam. I’m saying Minnesota was not wrong for moving on either
