At the end of the first half Tampa had the ball with almost 2 minutes left and they pretty much conceded to run out the half instead of trying to score. Not really a killer instinct from a coach who is a "tough guy". THey had been dominating use that first half and driving at will. Why would you not at least try to get something more?
I knew then we had a good shot at a comeback. I didn't feel they had the killer instinct to finish us. Besides we had RW.
Schiano is a dbag and he is the reason they have not won a game. He plays cheap and dirty. They have a good team with some definite skill players. This years Bucs will be next years Chiefs with the right coach.

It might have been something to do with the momentum shift and e crowd getting back into the game. Seahawks drove down the field with relative ease to put the score at 21-7. Sure TB was moving the ball all game prior, but TB was still starting a rookie QB against an opportunistic defense.

I think if you would have asked Schiano before the game if he could go into halftime with a 21-7 lead, he'd take that any day of the week. Plus the Bucs were getting the ball back to start the 3rd.

This. :13: I don't read much into coaching decisions any more. All coaches tend to be conservative, some less so than others. I'm pretty sure every coach in the league would have done what he did. Plus, IIRC, they didn't start the drive in very good field position, did they? Wasn't it a touchback? If they'd had a runback to the 40 or 50, I'd maybe agree with being more agressive, but trying that from the 20 is a good way to give up a pick-6.

Tampa's biggest mistake was not throwing downfield more. After the two complete BS penalties, I would have been throwing 40 yard jump balls to Vincent Jackson all game, especially anytime on third down. Until the refs quit throwing the flags, this would have been my passing game if I were TB.
