For unsportsmanlike conduct per Adam Scheffty.

Per the NFL: “Seahawks linebacker Derick Hall has been suspended for one game for an act of unnecessary roughness and unsportsmanlike conduct during Thursday’s game against the Los Angeles Rams. During the first quarter, Hall unnecessarily stepped on the leg of Rams guard Kevin Dotson at the end of a play while he was on the ground. Hall will be eligible to return to the Seahawks’ active roster on Monday, Dec. 29, following the team’s Dec. 28 game against the Carolina Panthers.“

What the hell!

Best clip I could find so far. Based on the Rams player taking exception, I can only assume it was deliberate.

It appeared deliberate from the short clip. That doesn't seem like a derrick Hall thing though. Likely a one off.

Wonder if they did the same to Landman for intentionally twisting an ankle (don't remember who for sure but maybe Darnold) on a tackle followthrough. It was pretty egregious.

At best, it looked avoidable. At worst, intentional. I hate to see a Seahawk suspended, but I'd hate for this to become the 'norm' for us even more.

That did not look egregious to me! I call BS. Expand the video to full screen and it gives a much better view. Once you get to Twitter/Z, click on the video and it will go full screen. Hall's left heel lands on the guy's calf, and the standing Rams DL shoves Hall.

It was too iffy for a suspension, and I don't remember Hall getting in trouble before. Meanwhile, I saw quite a few punches pushes back to the ground, twisting by the Rams.

So yes, I call BS. I hope he appeals it, because he should win an appeal IMHO. Either way, a little extra recovery time, and seeing how the NFL works should do him some good. I think we beat Carolina by 7 - 10 points, and having a fresh Hall would be good for the 49er game.

He looks off balance after being pushed, plants his foot, and then looks down to see what he stepped on. Doesn't look intentional at all.

There’s another clip on the NFL Reddit that is much clearer. Not intentional and should be appealed and overturned.

Yep!

Clearly shows Hall trying to avoid getting rolled up on and not realizing he stepped on the Rams player until after it happened. Also clearly shows Dotson was injured by his own player. This should be an easy appeal.

As a once 290+ lb big dude, I remember stepping on my father in law's dog's tail EXACTLY like this getting up off the couch.
