Watching their game, thinking to an eventual possible Seattle/Denver SB, this would be a very intriguing matchup. Denver: a methodical, patient team that systematically dismantles its opponents eventually; Seattle: a team as moody as the city it represents who looks defeated one moment and passionately unstoppable the next. Both teams ultimately live and die by their quarterbacks.

I'm just hoping Peyton flames out in the playoffs as usual --- but damn he looks unstoppable right now.

IF our D line is at full strength (should we meet), it will be a long day for Peyton, IMO. They don't scare me. No team scares me. We put that to rest today.

Peyton Manning in New Jersey in February with 22 degree temps outdoors?

Doesn't scare me in the LEAST.

Peyton will get his passes. He's unflappable under pressure. But their D will be no match for us. Especially with Harvin finally on the team. It'll be an epic Super Bowl.

But I do hope we plan on playing 4 qtrs. on that day. 3, at least.

Ummm, guys, I don't think the whole "Payton Manning will be befuddled by snow" isn't all its cracked up to be. Sure, he might struggle, but he'll be playing in Denver in the elements and the cold in November and December...i think if he struggles then, and still makes the playoffs, i think that there'd be a case, but til then? Id wait and see.

New Jersey weather in February is more like Denver than Seattle. At least regarding cold. The humidity is more like Seattle. I've lived (and worked) in all 3 places. I still think Seattle has the advantage in NJ as far as the weather is concerned. But Peyton's age will betray him in a cold atmosphere, where Russell's age will not be a factor. Or more accurately, an advantage.

I will wait until Denver plays an actual football team before I crown AFC champs. So far they have played:

Baltimore - a team that is a shell of its SB winning self

New York G - 0-4 and look like the worst team in a terrible NFC East

Oakland - This doesn't really need any explanation

Philly - Another really bad team

Baltimore is it's best win so far and it has had 3 home games out of 4. Right now if I had to pick someone to come out of the AFC it would be them but the NFC >>>>>> AFC this year.

Denver fan here: It will be a good super bowl if that is in fact what happens. A lot of times some random middle-of-the-pack team comes out of nowhere.

Really, the only thing stopping Denver right now is Denver. They're playing on a completely different level and without their best two defensive players. It's better to have this conversation in December to see how things might have changed with injuries, etc

Manning is a Hall of Famer and no question, but so far this year he's played the 21st, 24th, 30th, and 27th ranked DVOA pass defenses. His first real test doesn't come until Week 11 against Kansas City. Until then, the significance of putting up 365 yards and 4 TD's per game is limited for me.

He's also played a paddy-cake schedule, and will for most of the year. Denver is a damn good team, but not the world beaters they appear to be!
