Alabama lost to Tennessee on Saturday, its second loss after losing to Vanderbilt 3 weeks ago. Alabama hadn't had two losses this early in the season since 2007. Now it looks like Alabama might not make the playoffs, even with the expansion to 12 teams.

Is the bloom off the rose for Kalen DeBoer? Is he just another foolish person who thought that leaving Seattle would be a good thing? All I know is that no one will kill you if you go 9-2 at the UW. You might get crucified in Tuscaloosa for that.

Nothing better than deFRAUD and Bama losing. Eat a karma d***, Kalen
I wish you wouldn't hold back so much sometimes, Soulfish. It's OK to tell us how you really feel. I had a zoom call with the Mods and they said "Sure, personal attacks are normally out of bounds. But since it's DeBoer, bastard who left us in the lurch, go for it!"

Yes, I have to admit that I want him and Alabama to lose, I mean really want it to happen. Got a big schadenfreude thing going with the Vandy loss, followed by a nail-biting victory over SC, followed by the loss to the Vols. Losses to both Missouri and LSU would make me giddy, but I'll take a split.

I'm usually not this petty of a person, but something about his departure and to where just rubbed me the wrong way. It felt dirty.

Good luck following Saban at Tuscaloosa. Could he have set a higher hurdle for himself to clear? That takes some real cahones or stupidity to take such a position, especially with the transfer portal and new NIL money. If he thinks he's going to get shown much of any patience from the fanbase....

Bama, doesn’t want 1 single loss, let alone, 2 in the same season….UW would have welcomed 6 losses this season and retained DeBoer for the next 5 seasons….but DeBoer like a poster here said, “chased” money and is against the rest of the SEC and NIL money. He’s bound to lose a few games and get called out for it. But DeBoer at UW could have been a Legend but decided to move on to what he believed were greener pastures. Good riddance.

A columnist at USA Today suggested that with Kalen DeBoer coaching, Alabama should change their motto from "Beat Everyone" to "Beat Anyone."

He does get paid a lot of money, though. $87 million over 10 years. He had a $26.7 million/6 year deal at the UW. Clearly, the UW would have increased it if he wanted to stay. The reports say that the UW was willing to pay him $9.4 million a year.

Alabama also had to pay the UW $12 million to buy out DeBoer's contract. So a total of $99 million paid by a state that probably has more pressing financial needs. I guess it makes sense, since Alabama cleared $45 million from football last year.

He gave the players a huge speech about how he wanted to stay and build something. Almost right away, he's off to Alabama.
He talked to Alabama BEFORE the National Championship game. Chump.

I don't have a problem with him going to Alabama, most coaches would. It's the slimy way he went about it. Just look at all the comments from UW players.

F that guy.

One other thing that really bothered me big time about his departure,
is that he was doing this (Doing the deal) just prior to the Championship game.
I noticed they came out flat and Deboer just looked like he didn't care much,
of course not!
He already knew he was going when the $$$ were set whether he won or lost
the game.
I lost all respect for him after learning the details, I will love it when he is fired.

On another note- I think all coaches should be required to follow their contract
period, if you want more $$ don't redo or extend period.
People will say "They can get fired" Yes, they can but they still get paid if they
don't take another job for the period of the contract.
The big names will get another job paying more so it voids that anyway.

Are you seriously saying you don't think DeBoer cared if he won a national championship? Seriously? Good god man.

Some of you guys have lost your minds with this wildly over the top DeBoer hate.
