I thought this guy was on an NFL roster but I stumbled on his profile. He was with the Colts but is a free agent currently. Lately it seems the Seahawks are adding former Colt players. He's a physical, big WR - 6'3/217 pds. Could be a decent redzone threat. Plus he was a top performer in 2013 combine drills for vertical jump, broad jump, 3 cone, and shuttles. He has had some off-field issues but PC/JS like taking chances with these types...could be a steal and possibly had for the league minimum.

Red zone is the one area that has plagued the Seahawks all season. Looking at GB and some of the other teams the Seahawks would face in the post season, it would be nice if they could improve there. Rogers may be a piece to help out. If Purifoy can become a ST demon, it may make Walters expendable. Thus opening a spot for someone like Rogers.

The weakest receiver in terms of value to the team on the field and the organization at the moment is Kearse, and we probably will move on from him in the offseason. Really been unimpressed with him this year and that drop in the endzone against KC was inexcusable.

While true....Kearse is still better than Walters. Therefore, not the weakest WR on the roster.

If we are missing the off field Harvin, Rogers is our guy, for sure.

Purifoy came to us already on thin ice and there's a damn good reason a WR of Roger's talents is without team. I wanted to take a chance on him in FA, when he, one of the best WRs in the country went undrafted, but fortunately THAT TIME Pete and John made the correct decision.

At 23 years of age, he's already been booted from 3 teams. Drugs, alcohol and activities detrimental to the team. I'll take availability over ability 10 x out of 10. We are watching Tate LOL over the Harvin deal, how badly do we want Kearse doing the same?

Keep in mind, 'glyphics..Kearse costs us very little. As an undrafted FA, Kearse has been money more times than not. You can't hold a single play against any single player. As a Dawg fan, I didn't want Kearse anywhere near the Hawks, but he has grown and has made some spectacular plays for this franchise. Could he be better? Certainly. But you have to keep in all in perspective. We are using what should be our 4 as our 2. That means he's getting way more quality attention than he is accustomed to. ...and still playing pretty well. Our receiving issues are on the FO and their insane desire to "take chances" with guys like Harvin. Da'Rick Rogers = Harvin II.

If we could get a real top end receiver this offseason, Baldwin could just be the permanent punt returner and we wouldn't need Walters. So you're right, but Walters at the moment is the only one who can handle returns without fumbling and without compromising the health of our anemic passing game. So he has organizational value even though he sucks.

Kearse is a great #4 but we likely won't keep so many receivers next year.

Lockette is too valuable on special teams I think for them to cut.

Baldwin obviously staying and suited for our #2 option.

Richardson and Norwood they have invested for the future, although Norwood certainly isn't a lock to stay on the team.

If we want a true #1 receiver for next year, we'll need to compromise somewhere. Probably comes down to Norwood or Kearse.

we need a true #1, watching kearse out there do squat leaves no doubt about that. we need to target a difference maker in the passing game that can win 1v1 matchups in coverage and take pressure off the run game and open up things in the pass game

but im not a fan of overpaying for a #1 wr in free agency, especially next season considering that money should go to retaining the likes of wilson and wagner. #1 wr money is between 9-15m per year right now. id rather see us try to draft a receiver high (1st or 2nd rd), potentially even packaging picks and trading up if we have to

Sometimes when people hit the bottom they change...

Unlike Percy this is a guy that looks at PC wrong and you cut him at zero cost

I agree OP. Worth a look but not now. Training camp

I agree although if it were Dez Bryant or Demaryius Thomas we were trying to sign this offseason, I'd say we should meet their price. I doubt Denver and Dallas let them walk, but they are absolutely worth the money and exactly the kind of player our offense needs.

I could let KJ Wright and Maxwell, and Zach Miller go if we could go all in on a Dez or Demarius, I think our shot at a 3rd SB would go up tremendously.
