I was aware of Doornink's battle with Covid but I'm not sure how many others are and thought this article was worth sharing with the group. Hopefully it doesn't touch off another vaccine debate.

A long time fan favorite, and rightfully so. A truly good guy. While he never was a superstar, he always played with heart and gave his all for the Seahawks. So great to see he survived this ordeal.

Doornink was a freaky high stepper. Dude would high step with absolutely no one around him lol

I watched a lot of Doornink, both in his college days at WSU and during his time with the Hawks. The current player that most reminds me of him is the Niners Kyle Juszczyk, good receiver out of the backfield, blocks like a bulldozer, and would run through a brick wall if he were asked.
