I’m already seeing speculation that this was suicide.

I suppose it’s possible but it’s only speculation and we should wait and see.

Regardless of what happened, this is sad and I’ve said a prayer for those that loved and cared for him.

24 is absolutely too young no matter the circumstances!

I’ve had the same thought myself but no need to speculate. A family is mourning and we will hear details when the time is right.

Dude caught his first TD against Arizona just this Monday.

That's horrible. So sad.

I can't remember which, but he is either the one that blocked the punt that resulted in a TD Monday night against the Cardinals or he is the one that recovered it in the endzone. He had a promising career and life ahead of him for sure. I remember seeing a lot of good traits out of him in the draft 2 years ago when I did my scouting.

I think he did both

Could be wrong but IIRC, he blocked it and recovered it

ETA
I just watched the play, he recovered it.

Kneeland scored his first NFL touchdown Monday in the Cowboys’ loss to the Arizona Cardinals after recovering a blocked punt in the end zone.

Come on.

He RECOVERED a blocked punt, it clearly says so in what you just posted.

He did not CATCH his first TD as you originally stated.

Anyone that even only casually watches football knows and understands the difference.

I thought he caught the punt but you can’t really tell

Regardless, I should have said that was his one and only score.

Kneeland was found dead on Wednesday night. If he was a no-call, no-show on Wednesday, the team would have arranged for a well being check after the workday was done.

The Cowboys are on bye this coming week. Typically, the first week of a bye only coaches report and the players tend to go on "vacation" for the week. He wouldn't likely report until next Monday or Tuesday next week.
