We acquired three veteran linemen, Tomlinson, Connor, and Fant. Only Tomlinson is sort of ok.

And even he's a trainwreck, but compared to a Center that shoots to high and a tackle that has played only like 15min in seven games, then yeah, Tomlinson would be better.

I've been digging around the ol' interwebs and it seems like Williams snapping issues is not a new thing with us. I guess it was an issue in Miami also.

So he started out as a LG and was moved over to OC after a few seasons and the bad snapping issue has always been there.
Such a shame.

I am assuming that our center has issues snapping the ball, shouldn't we try to minimize his deficiency by going more under the center than short guns?

Requires changing basically the entire offensive scheme at this point unfortunately

He's has like three bad snaps. Let's not act like this is happening constantly.
Sure, anyone can have a few mistakes, but in his case those "three" mistakes all turned out to be game changing wonks. So those aren't just mistakes, they are three on the record disasters. When you are 4-6 instead of at least 6-4 that is a season wonk. I expect another year adjusting to his physical situation might benefit him and he might play better, but if these three errors prove to be a continuous problem, or have been part of his play historically, then the center position most definitely needs to see a change sooner than later.
