Be very careful.

You may feel that Carroll is not doing a great job with some of the great players he has. But remember, many of those great players are here because of Carroll.

Remember George Karl?

People were so upset because Karl was not doing well in the playoffs. We solved that problem by getting rid of Karl and bringing in Westphal (or however you spell it). He helped us with messing up in the playoffs by just missing the playoffs entirely. Just a worthless coach, but we brought him in because we were tired of Karl's 'failures'.

He was so much worse.

When we get rid of Carroll, we have a much better chance of getting another Westphal than we do a MacMillan. Other words, you might be frustrated occasionally but when we do lose Carroll it will get so much worse.
Don't worry...Schotty is the next HC...then nothing will change .

Carroll runs this team top to bottom...the only big title he doesn't have is GM...but Carroll hired Schneider as GM...right?

The problem in Seattle are the coaches. I have watched the Hawks play since they came into the NFL, This is the worst team I have seen in 30 years.
We should be 0-and 3, got lucky in the first two games, luck ran out last Sunday.
The OC and DC are bad. Pete is stuck in football of the past, while the NFL has moved on, and he refuses to change.
Why would you pay Wilson all that money and then not use him to his strengths. That is nuts.
As long as we keep Pete and this coaching stall the Hawks are going struggle year after year like we have the last three. Don't tell me about last year when we made the playoffs, we got kicked out first game. It is not about making the playoffs, it is about making a run in the playoffs. My prediction for this season 10and6.
Let the thinking I am crazy begin.

Normally I'd be welcoming to dot net and say good post, but you don't fit the mold of a 12 with a statement like this. It is apparent to me that you are hear to stir up some trouble to make yourself feel good. And this statement is proof you don't know OUR Seahawks.

I'm not sure us 12's want you around any longer, in fact a opening statement like that should bring a swift and lasting ban on you from the administrators. Justly ! Have a nice day. ;)

Your rhetoric seems a bit harsh .

Harsh...Maybe, but considering this is his first post and its leveled at the greatest coach in our history, I think that it was well deserved.
If you think the bum would make a good 12 is truely unbelievable. I got Pete's back. :229031_cheers:

Anyone that suffered through Flores, knows it can get much, much worse.

Ruskell I hated. But his team did make a SB, though he decimated that team shortly after with a stupid FO move.

But Flores and Behring?

It gets much worse. We have been so fortunate.

I might complain because of what could have been. But even so. We very likely won't see success like this again when Carroll leaves....for a long, long time.

Dear unholy god.

Please get this guy some medication.

As someone who has personally attended every regular season game and postseason game here in Seattle for over 21 years, I can assure you this isn't the worst team in the last 21 years, much less 30+.

It's not even remotely up for discussion. Take a look over the last 20 years. Do you remember the Jim Mora "era"? I sure do. I remember going to games and just wanting to see a few good plays from the Seahawks... I wasn't holding my breath to even win a game!

Sheesh.

Not supposed to attack the poster but damn I want to shred him. Does anyone else hate "Teh SKy is falling" posts after a loss as much as I do.

Has Pete not proven year after year we are a Playoff contender. Shit even years we barely make the playoffs I gotta believe with Russ we can pull of a miracle.

Maybe a new rule that says post loss panickers are fair game for attack the poster?

Yep!

I think your post in crazy, perhaps you may be too. 10-6 and the worst team in 30 years, say what?

Worst team in 30 years? Sure thing dog! Right, whatever. Have you really watched this team for 30 years? Maybe you missed the special season brought to us by Mora Jr. and frankly I'm not even sure it was the worst, but it was terrible. The teams of the early 90's truly sucked, there was little if anything to redeem them, save being Seahawks.

Perhaps you are over focused on this loss and have allowed hyperbole to colour your remarks. Go look at the box score of the game, RW passed for 406 yards, the team out ran NO too and the team's offensive output doubled the Saints. It very clearly wasn't bad coaching or out of touch football thinking that lost the game. The present kvetching here and in other threads about old fashioned Pete is to me simply nonsense, the change up in Pitt. showed that thinking is truly nonsense. The KC model which looks like an air raid O is not likely to be sustainable.

The game was lost by poor play, weak tackling, and critical mistakes that translated into 20 points the team spotted a good defensive opponent who gratefully feasted upon. The team rather lost this game rather than being beaten by them. the team played flat even if they won th TOP 32 + to less than 28 minutes, they just failed to execute. However I will say NO got exceptional play from Kamara and the Hawks had trouble stopping him. Kamara is a star w/o a doubt.

All season the team will struggle like the last 3 seasons? What are you watching? Playoffs with a rebuilding team last year that sucks? Holy Moly, i disagree! All I will say is we don't know the true personality of the team yet. Of course we are all concerned to 2-1 but with negative 3 points in points for and against. I think there were a few red faces over that loss, and those were deserved. Lots of reachable suff there.

I think you'll be back on the bandwagon with 2 Ws in the next 2 weeks. Things are far from beinga awful as you claim.

I don't know why everyone keeps beating around the bush...
It's not the coaching, the real problem is what it's always been.
Russell Wilson is TOO SHORT to play QB in the NFL.
No way could we ever win a Super Bowl with him, much less even get to one.
But yes, it's the coaching, because Carroll and his coaches didn't go with the tall first round pick QB this year, what was his name, oh yeah, Paxton Lynch. Hell, he was going to be the next Dan McGwire for us. Remember when McGwire threw 70 TD passes in one season for St Louis? Hell, we'd have been Super Bowl champs a couple times now if we'd kept him.

OK, so the above is at least as coherent as the OP's offering.

I'll stick with Pete "Christmas" Carroll. He's been a gift to this franchise, and "It's a Wonderful Season" most years around here. Just imagine life without Pete Bailey. We'd be rooting for the Potterville Mudhawks.

In summary, Why would we want Mora that? OP's delusions have no Behring on this year's team. He can just Stouffer his opinions right back into the hole they dribbled out of. (To Beatles tune...) "I know you say hello, I say Gelbaughye"

Anyone wondering what it might be like after Pete leaves need only look at USC. We are well past sanctions now. We have great talent. And yet we’re still just a so-so team.

Be careful what you wish for.
