It seems odd that any team would give a contract out with no physical like that. Almost inconceivable.

Lots of amazing prospects in the draft this year. Athletes on par with Creed Humphrey, Landon Dickerson, Jackson Powers-Johnson, Tyler Linderbaum, and others this year. Some guys who could legitimately be pros at any of the 5 spots. I expect that this'll be looked back upon as one of the best OL drafts of the decade.
No doubt. While the front office drives me insane when it comes to the O Line, I like that they are very thorough in the way they make sure a player passes a physical. And from hearing Brock talk about it, they don't just do some basic physical with a player.
I hope we draft at least two O Lineman, and earlier than later.

I don't think you need to be a HOF guard to be worth a top 20 pick. Plenty of guards would be top 20 picks in re-drafts. Guys that were picked in the top 20 like Quinton Nelson and Chris Lindstrom or even guys outside the 1st round like Landon Dickerson and Joe Thuney. Plenty more to list.
No your missing the point, Hutch was that damn good, Holmgren wasn't going to draft him but he fell and Holmgren knew what a value he was.

Did Fries not take a physical when he got to Minnesota? Gotta take a gamble at some point, and by gamble I don't mean signing players who sucked with their last team to cheap contracts.

Ok, many got their way. Bradburry just signed a 2 year deal with the Pats.
And for the record, I never once said I wanted them to sign him or not to. Was kind of just neutral on it.

Sounds like he was pretty bad in pass blocking, so that's w/out a doubt something we DON'T need here in Seattle.

Career-High 38 Pressures last season with the Vikings.

Guarantee that Sam was not "pounding the table" for him.

Patriots already had 4 centers on their roster but Bradbury is an upgrade as it allows Strange to compete at LG instead of being forced to play center.

Patriots had one of the worst OL units last season and now have the following:

LT?????
LG Strange
OC Bradburry
RG Onwenu
RT Moses

Big upgrade for them all around as a run blocking unit. Bradburry/Onwenu/Moses as a right side is going to move people. Patriots need a true pass blocking LT with good feet bad which they will address via the draft.

Bradbury only got 2/$12m with $3.8m guaranteed. The league is aware that he sucks. Glad we didn't sign him.
