Kind of hinted that ET could play this week but also suggested that hamstrings are particularly important for people in those positions. So I'm thinking both might miss 2 games. That would give them close to 21 days or rest (depending on how much they practice).
No way Earl plays this weekend.
No reason to push him for one game against Tampa and risk him hurting the hammy even more..........not with a 3 1/2 game lead in our division.
I dont think players and coaches look at injuries like fans do. IMO they look at the player and injury for exactly what it is. If he can play then he does. If not ready they wait. No matter schedule or opponent or standings.
It's not "can play" or not, the player has to be effective and not risk further injury to whatever injury they're dealing with.
An o-lineman with a bad hammy? Probably OK to play cause their range of motion is literally 5-10 yards. DB's and WR's that stretch that hamstring out on literally every play? No, can't risk it. Gotta be fully healed or else they can pull it or even tear it.
This is what I mean when I say you don't push a player like Earl, or Shead.
