DE Calais Campbell on his knee after the play. Yikes.

Palmer with beautiful 17-yard TD pass from Palmer to Smokey Brown. The speed on that drive from receivers Nelson and Brown apparent. #SDvsAZ

Palmer hits J.J. Nelson on a fly pattern for 57 yards in the air. And Nelson wasn't even running full speed. #SDvsAZ

The game stopped for the Campbell injury and is currently on a commercial break as he is still not off the field. Hopefully its minor, this team can't afford to lose him for any amount of time.

JJ Nelson the rookie had the fastest time at the combine. He blew past the defenders just like John Brown did last year. Runs a 4.28

Its apparent we have moved to having a lot of speed at the W/R position in the last two years and our offense will be based more on creating space.

CC appears to be fine

Defense looks strong, fast and aggressive. Swarming

O-line was shaky to start, I do know a couple players are out tonight with minor hamstring tweaks and Palmer has taken two hits. Scared me, but he got up right away

Brown just had a rare drop on what would've been a great conversion on 3rd down. Two plays had players going one way and the ball going another on options.

Not really liking what I am seeing from our Rookie RB Johnson. Seems to try to do too much instead of just hitting the holes.

Then he just had a nice powerful 13 yd run lol

Johnson is just making play after play now.

Now doubt that Arians will be relying on a big play offense much like last season. I know his goal is to have one play of 20yds or more every quarter.

Stanton still sucks. Came in and literally through it straight to a linebacker who just like last year only had to watch his eyes. I don't think I have ever seen a QB stare down receivers the way Stanton does. What bothers me is he looks at a receiver when the ball is snapped and never makes a second read. Its a pre-snap decision which is horrible.

Stanton stares receivers down. Hesitates on plays, and takes way too much time to get the ball out. If he has to play this season we of course would be in trouble.

I hope you don't have to watch Stanton muddle through 8.5 games again. I kind of expected AZ to make one of the league's largest investments in a backup QB.

I know he was playing against third stringers but I was really impressed with Phillip Sims at QB for Arizona. Looked like he controlled the huddle, escaped from pressure, quick to throw the ball away when nothing was there. His touch on long balls was off but I couldn't tell you if that was more of his receivers being in bad spots or what.

That said, I wouldn't mind them cutting him and snagging him for our practice squad.

Actually thats funny you say that. He said the Seahawks were one of the teams that scouted him all year and kept in contact.
He was at Alabama before switching to Virginia then wasn't eligilble because of Academic reasons. Nick Saban wrote a letter to scouts on his behalf detailing his work ethic, his ability to learn etc.

I personally wanted Logan Thomas to succeed but if I had to choose today it would be this guy. I think he looks better than Stanton because he actually made 2nd and third reads and just has a sense or pressure.

Sims was suppose to be the #2 prospect going into college ball. Whats even crazier is he has 20/100 vision in one eye and 20/50 vision in the other. So his eyesight for the position is horrible and only got it taken care of when he started training camp with the Cardinals.

I hope he can win the third spot in saying all of that
