I saw an article out there acknowledging that there exist insufficient metrics for judging a catcher's defensive value to a team, unlike the stats that Judge can summon. He thought that might be a case for voters getting adventurous and ushering Cal in. I doubt it, but I thought it was a good point.

There is no justifiable reason for him not to get another gold glove. It's literally impossible for him to be any better at his position. Unbelievable.

I wonder how many catchers in the majors would have had the mental acuity and cojones to get this out? Considering the ramifications in the series, it was just as huge as Suarez's grand slam.
