Broncos fire Nathaniel Hackett
Yesterday's blowout loss to the Rams was the last straw for Broncos ownership with first-year head coach Nathaniel Hackett.

Depends if they decide to promote their DC or not. Although the D has fallen off enough the last month that the shine may be off him.DeMeco Ryans time.
If I was Ryan’s I wouldn’t touch the Bronco’s job with a 10 ft pole he will get get his choice of jobsDeMeco Ryans time.
The Bronco’s have no choice if Wilson is released in 2023 it is a $107 million dead cap hit they can only hope Wilson decides to retireGood news is that means they will stick with Russ for another year.
Yeah, that's the $64K question, isn't it? The Broncos traded the farm for Russell then signed him to an expensive, long term contract. When head coaching lifespans are measured in months like Hackett's was, none of the top candidates, such as Sean Payton, will want anything to do with the Broncos. This will be interesting. Who the hell wants to coach this dumpster fire of a team? Russ is now the coach killer.
Imagine getting your dream job, you're on cloud 9, you're the boss, you're in charge of building your dream team, and you hire that one guy that can take you to the top...but instead, that guy shreds your company apart from the inside, he's turned your other employees against you, as well as your customers, and now, you're unemployed, you had take the fall because your higher-ups had no choice but to keep him & fire you because of his contract & the salary that comes with it, they have to salvage him, and that meant you had to be out of the picture, so they can replace you with someone better. And now, if you ever want to get that dream job somewhere else, you have to spend time & rebuild your reputation. That dream job can turn into your own personal nightmare quickly.Hackett wasn't ready to be a head coach, but I think we can all agree that he was set up to fail by Russell Wilson. This will be interesting as it develops through the last games of the season and of course the offseason.
