sucks for purdy. seems like a good dude.
so what is the 49ers plan?
garrapolo again?
they should consider trading for rodgers and having rodgers restructure his deal. 49ers window is these next 1-2 seasons. it took them 5-6 years building that roster. can't waste it by relying on trey lance of all QBs.
Jimmys ACL and injury this year were scrambling plays . Not play design . Also think some players don't feel pain the same way. How the heck is Mahomes playing with a high ankle sprain? Jimmy had a high ankle sprain against the Seahawks and was out for 6 weeks! At some point Whiner fans are going to have to deal with the realisation that it is Shanahan's play calling that is causing all these QB injuries. Yes he looks like a genius when the TE is wide open because he's not blocking / chipping the extra rusher or the RB is open out wide because he isnt picking up the blitzing LB but putting your QB in harms way to try and make it look like you have a dynamic offense is a folly and the real reason they will never win anything.
Drugs. Lots and lots of drugs. It is impressive how cognizant he is in the pocket with how hopped up he must be.Jimmys ACL and injury this year were scrambling plays . Not play design . I'm not arguing against your primary point, but high ankle sprains are likely the most heterogenous injury that exists. No two are alike. Depending on the degree of syndesmotic separation, and the athletes' individual innervation, the injury can be tolerable, and resolve without intervention, to completely debilitating, requiring surgery.Jimmys ACL and injury this year were scrambling plays . And you are right, some people feel the pain from it more than others
Whether KS is responsible or not, it does seem that the Niners suffer from a higher number of weeks lost to injury among key players than most teams in the league.
doesn't sound like 49ers brass are open or eager to add a proven guy to the QB room. maybe a smokescreen
Did it really make it worse? All he did was pretty much hand the ball off from what I saw. And it's not like he got ordered back into the game against his will.He should sue the 49ers for putting him back in the game and aggravating his injury, making even worse than it was to begin with. They should have just used McCaferry as their emergency QB.
I haven't seen an accurate description of the injury. Could be unimalleolar, bimalleolar, or trimalleolar. If we knew the extent of the injury, we could speculate a little more. What’s your opinion on Lance’s health? Jan 2, undergoes a second surgery on ankle to take out stabilizers that were irritating him. Usually when they insert hardware, isn’t that person expected to have it for life or a replacement part?
