It's not Canadians in a whole but the indigenous persons are fairly big on speaking out on things like this now. Reconciliation for the wrongs committed against them in the past is a priority and things like the tomahawk chop wouldn't fly...maybe it wouldn't in other cities outside of KC in the US?

Well I believe I can safely say that nobody EVER name a professional sports organization after indigenous people, tribes etc and meant it as a slur somehow.
(Braves, Redskins, Chiefs etc)
Im also sure that those chants aren’t meant to be offensive to anyone other than the opposing team/fans.

Certainly a clown world we’re living in, thankfully my feet don’t fit those shoes.

Personally I believe “intent” is key, and if no offense is intended none should be taken.
