So the rumour mill has Philbin out in Miami, no on staff candidates, I wonder if the offer was made for Bevell if Pete would allow it and if he would go?

Sadly, I don't think there is a team dumb enough to hire Bevell as their head coach...not even Miami...or Cleveland for that matter.

Why would they hire him? Looks like they're already using his playbook.

Could they take him during the season? That would be awesome.

Philbin's definitely gone and it wouldn't surprise me if it was in a couple of days. I said on another thread they may be the biggest disappointment in the NFL this year. I believe they have a bye next week so now would be the time for an in season firing. No one's gonna come in from another team in the middle of the season though. They'll name someone on staff as an interim til the end of the year.

If Bevell gets hired by any team, it won't be til this coming offseason.

Oh they're dumb enough my friend. Rich Kotite convinced people to let him coach in the NFL. Darell Bevell certainly could.

My anger at Bevell has actually subsided quite a bit since last week. I thought he called a good game. Only one bubble screen ;)

I haven't liked Philbin since Hard Knocks did Miami a few years ago. He seemed like a huge douchebag. I like seeing his team get beat up on.

I couldn't see that happening mid season. I don't think that would benefit the Seahawks at all. Maybe after the season...

On paper, Bevell is a much better hire than Jim Tomsula.
