From Chris Mortensen:

"Seahawks OC Darrell Bevell is scheduled for a 2nd interview with the Bears on Tuesday."

UPDATE (twitter updates are coming fast and furious) from Adam Schefter:

"Bears will meet again with Seahawks OC Darrell Bevell and Montreal HC Marc Trestman, first 2 candidates to be identified as Bears finalists."

Now that Eagles have cancelled their interview with Arians, more twitter folk are speculating that the job is likely Bradley's (not confirmed yet).

Are we about to lose both of our coordinators?

Well the bears have been interviewing so many players they could make a reality TV show out of it.
I want bevell to stay, Hope Eagles hire Gus

I dunno, the fact that Bevell is going back for a 2nd interview could mean something. We'll just have to see, I guess.

Don't worry about Bevell. Just let #3 run the show and call the plays.

Apparently it's now becoming clearer that Bevell and Trestman are THE finalists for the Bears HC job.

I don't care what anyone says, I want continuity here. I don't want our coaches leaving left and right. I think it works pretty well.

Agree. It is better for Wilson to have the same Coordinator 2 years in a row instead of learning to work with a new one.

Hope Bevell stays.

I'm with you....tho I think I'd rather have Bevell stay with Wilson.

Yes, I sure hope they give Wilson some input if Bevell leaves.

Position coaches are hard to gauge from us in general population.

I'm not sure if he has interviewed elsewhere, but all reports even stemming back from Jimmy Johnson leaking it days ago., Trestmen seems to be the heavy favorite. Judging from today's tweets, the second interview might be a formality. Our new GM, Emery is clearly a details guy if you can not tell by the sheer number of candidates we had until today. Trestmen is a Lawyer and from what I read, just as cerebral as Emery. They probably had a make out session and the second round of interviews are probably just a formality to stick to the plan. It also gives Emery some more time to hang out as Bevell was not available until the Seahawks were eliminated. By the way congrats on your season. You guys exceeded all expectation and were fun to watch except for the Bears game of course.

Except that Bevell isn't really a position coach... he's a coordinator. Smith is the QB coach. And a young player losing a position coach is generally rough for the player only because most young players aren't as knowledgeable, experienced, and confident as Wilson. Wilson will be fine with whoever is OC next year. I'm worried about losing Gus and someone coming in and screwing up the D.

It is now being reported that Trestman has spent virtually all day with the Bears today. Could mean he is the favorite, but we'll see.

I really wouldn't mind if the Eagles do hire Gus. He's been here for a long time and with the exception of 6 magical weeks to start the year, I did not see the type of D we're capable of fielding.

A Bears fan here who has 96 posts? Strange.

If I were you, I'd hope you guys don't have Bevell as HC. He's a good OC I guess but he's not HC material.

Frankly, I'd rather have Lovie stay than bring in this guy.
