I truly do admire what the 9ers have accomplished. The sheer amount of injuries and still make it to the divisional round is pretty damn extraordinary. As much as I Sport Hate them, I cannot be so obtuse as to not appreciate how they got here.

Scrappy, gritty, use whatever adjective necessary but they don’t quit. Admirable.

That shit all comes to an end next weekend.

We kept them to 3 points in their house with everything on the line. They are so tired you can see it in their faces. Especially CMC. That poor bloke looks so ready for a beach and massage it’s not even funny.

That 14-year-old Purdy is ripe for another beating due to the filthy relentlessness that The Dark Side will inevitably unleash upon him next weekend.

12s will be in full throat, raining down unfair decibels for 3 hours.

We will tip our caps to a most worthy enemy, but make no mistake…

Their life force is mercifully extinguished on Lumen Field grounds in front of the nation.

Shanny will have different looks this week. There is also no doubt that Williams back at LT will also be a big factor.

Make no mistake, there is always uncertainty with divisional opponents.

We cannot pass up opportunities to score this time around. I expect our D to be impressive , but 3 points allowed is an aberration. Kicks less than 40 yards need to be automatic. 1 and goals from the one need to be 7 automatically.

I’m trying to be as positive as most of you guys, but I’m still stressed, which ruins the magnitude of what we accomplished so far and the position we are in. Joy is probably my most difficult moment to process. As Brene Brown says “we try to dress rehearse tragedy so we can beat vulnerability to the punch”. I need to learn to “lean into those moments of joy” better so I can enjoy what I have instead of fear what I might lose. I’m talking more in my life , but it bleeds over to the Hawks.

That’s why I love coming here and feeding off the optimism of y’all.

LFG!

It's a great time to be a Hawks fan. I go through the what if cycle of thoughts and objectively work through what I think might happen in the upcoming games.

But then I also take time to just stop and soak in the fact that we are again the number one seed. We are again the top team in the NFC and arguably the NFL.

That's a rare thing. It's only happened for us 4 times in 50 years (which actually isnt too shabby).

Strategy talk aside. Matchup analysis aside. What if's aside.

It's a great time to be a fan of this team.

You underscore where I am at. Just this morning I told my girl:

“Sometimes I forget to take this all in. I don’t want to take an ounce of this season for granted. It’s incredibly rare to be the #1 seed, division champions, home field throughout the playoffs with a more than fighting chance to win it all. I need to enjoy every moment of this.”

Obviously, I just want to win. But ideally I'd like us to set the tone that we are a very formidable team, that there's a reason why we're the #1 seed, and that we're just getting started in showing that fact in the playoffs this year. There's a certain championship attitude that I'm hoping to see.

Well said. It truly is. I find myself more grateful this year than I have been in a long time.
