I don't like how her fame was basically bought, but objectively, she's talented and not a bitch, so I get why she has fans. The level of devotion a lot of people have for her is in full-out John63 to Russell Wilson territory though, which feels incomprehensible.

I'm mostly annoyed that she was ubiquitous already, and now she's infiltrating my escape. I already hated Travis Kelce, although not for any good reasons until now.

That meme was not misogynistic or a man vs woman thing. This is about learning to be in a mature, caring and meaningful relationship. You know, doing things for your partner because you care about and want the best for them. I do 90% of the cooking and half the housework and am glad to do it.

Just an example of a super famous woman going out with guys outside her circle and not her level money wise that works after she was was with several men in her circle that never worked with several broken marriages to boot. At least Taylor doesn't seem to marry frivolously same as Travis so it makes sense to me. And both seem to be fairly private about their private lives given their level of famous/popularity.

The thing is I have no clue about anything she sings because I'm into things like the Coctaeu Twins or Lilly whatever and etc and 1970's music.

It's not a bad example. It actually illustrates quite clearly how popular culture influences how women are portrayed by men in society. Where did my friend learn his attitude towards women? Its in the culture all around him.

Unfortunately, DV in our society is prevalent. 3 women die each day at the hands of their partner, and memes/pictures like these only perpetuate the cycle of violence.

That's some mental gymnastics there. It's pretty plain to me that it promotes the idea that women belong in the kitchen.

I know I'm going against the grain here but I don't care. I really don't.

I also went to women's studies in university. Honestly, it was an eye opening exoerience.

Two students in the class stopped coming mid-semester because of their boyfriends. One of them interupted class to tell the professor in the hallway that she could no longer come because her boyfriend threatened to beat her if she continued coming. She was in tears and my interpreter had to go in the hallway to calm her.

Women studies ought to be a requirement for high school classes. Our society would be better off.
