I'll be surprised if we take a TE at all, let alone in the first round.
I'm not a fan of taking one in the 1st Round. But this TE class is very strong. Maybe the best in a decade.

A guy like Darnell Washington in Round 2, would be a fantastic pick. Someone I'm sure they will have their eyes on.

I still don't see how we're going to be in a batter position next year to get a qb1 than we are this year, unless someone like Hooker is the plan. This Bears trade doesn't change anything in that regard.

Is it really worth taking the 4th QB off the board? One that is also a project. When you can get an impact defensive player instead.

I would have no issue taking a swing at Hooker on day two. I like him more as a prospect than Will Levis.

I highly recommend looking at Clayton Tune as well for a QB that may fit our situation. He's the optimal height and size, throws great deep balls, is super accurate when not pressured, and is mobile enough to extend a few plays here and there. There's a huge transition from Houston to the NFL and he'll need to learn how to handle pressure, read defenses and go through progressions. If you're looking for a QB to sit behind Geno for at least a year then Tune has a ton of upside to make it worth the investment.

The Houston-Texas Tech double overtime game was a ton of fun with the wildest win probability swings in college football last season, and somebody uploaded the first 3.5 quarters to YouTube here then the OTs are in all the highlight vids. Clayton Tune throwing to Tank Dell on one side, Tyree Wilson on the other side.

Seems like a future problem. If we thought Geno wasn't the answer for the next few years we wouldn't have paid him. Flat out, we aren't picking a QB in the first round and we are only going to next year if 2023 is a disaster. So get ready to watch Geno be your QB at least until 2025.

Everyone says fleeced but Carolina has unique position now with being at the 1. Texans could worry about losing their guy all of a sudden with a QB needed team ahead of them or even more a Colts team that could be looking at 3 QBs gone before they draft if AZ trades down. Panthers could totally Draft Day this into the Colts trading up and giving back the picks they lost with possibly more and still drafting in the 4 spot.

Looking at pick trade values if Moore is worth the #58 pick in this Draft it's an even trade for the #1 overall pick. Not close to a fleecing in my opinion. The question is whether the Panthers can get fair value from the #1 pick. There doesn't seem to be a consensus #1 pick which suggests the Panthers are overvaluing the pick. If I was picking a side in this trade i'd take the Bears side.

Here is the problem. You put Fields in this draft and he is suddenly the best QB in the group. And he isn't even that good in the NFL.

Sure one of these QBs will be good later. Nothing clear on who that will be though.
Baker Mayfield went #1 in 2018 but it was Allen that turned into the star. Still, at the time you had people convinced Sam Darnold or Lamar Jackson were going to be.

4 QBs in the top ten would be ridiculous but likely to happen. This feels like 2018 all over again. If I were the Bears I would nope out of it too. Sure you COULD pick the right QB but you likely won't. And so the chance of getting anyone much better than Fields is pretty low.

Maybe Stroud or Young will be the 2nd coming of Hurts, but I'm not even sold on Hurts.
