Technically it denies a raid regarding Williams, not a blanket statement that no raid took place at all. Probably means the same thing but the wording is a little weird. If it were me, I’d just say there was no raid period.

But you know if they said exactly that, some reporters would be asking exactly the same questions the more specific denial addresses.

That’s just it. DCs don’t just walk off the Job and I haven’t seen a team (scrub/wipe) a coach off the site that quickly and essentially the NFL and Team were seemingly very to quick disassociate and distance themselves from him in a
“nope doesn’t involve us” way.

When even Biggs the top reporter Chicago sports is skeptical. Saying:

It’s all odd, very odd. As odd as Andrew M. Stroth, a sports attorney based out of Chicago is working with former Bears DC Alan Williams.

If it’s health issue why is an attorney working with him and speaking on his behalf? Like attorneys are the most honest people out there.. HA

there is a clear distinction between the words 'raid' and 'search' in terms of how they are used when referring to an action by law enforcement: a search is what happens when officers are acting on a search warrant, and a raid is a sudden forceful incursion made when surprise is necessary to apprehend someone.

Could be that the locations were searched by means of warrant, in which case the denial would be 100% accurate.

Or it could be the whole thing is a nothing burger and is as claimed ... a health matter, or something similar.

When I first read this post, I read "return" as rectum... and I started to wonder why.

A quick search on these sources leads me to believe the rumors are made up. For example, the most damning speculation is coming from a bunch of low-tier YouTubers with somewhat official sounding names.

When There is smoke, there usually is fire. It just might not be THAT kind of fire.

Eberflus called the week 1 defense, and this week Williams was not at the facility. The Chicago Trib reporter said that “we,” presumably meaning his journalistic circles, did not think this had to do with family or health. It’s a common Excuse for people facing resignation or termination, after all.

But then comes Jon Zaghloul, a podcaster with 6k Twitter followers to say there have been fbi raids with exact dates involving Peanut Tillman who allegedly tipped them off. That Eberflus was crying. So I’m asking myself how the hell does he know this down to those details?
