At this point, would it be more beneficial if the Rays catch the Yankees?

I of course had been hoping the Yankees could add to the AL East pounding the Rays, Blue Jays, and Orioles have coming up, but considering how hard they are dropping and the fact that the M's have the tie breaker over the Yankees but not the Rays, I was just wondering if maybe we should be hoping the Rays overtake them at this point. I mean, we're only 5 games back of them right now, too.
