People that lose their password usually just use the "Forgot Password" button and reset it. Not create a whole new account. If you've been here since 1999 what was your original name?

As for John Schneider "screwing up" free agency. First of all FA isn't even over yet. Grades don't usually come out before players can even officially be signed... I certainly have not seen any myself (good or bad), but sine you claim the world is saying Schneider screwed up why don't you post one of these article you speak of as proof?
I don't entertain stalker posts and you can Google "NFL team grades for free agency".

If you read all of my posts, you will see that I have mentioned JS screwed up on day 1, and that he fills in holes later.

He has said himself that he doesn't make huge moves at the start. The problem with that is it puts the Seahawks behind in the arms race, but yes, it can also help in the budget.

I was disappointed and after the trade was announced disappointed the Hawks couldn’t acquire this guy who would answer a lot of questions with the pass rush.

Is his deal worth it? I think so.
I wonder what it’ll take to get the job done? Any ideas?
I know some other teams were interested before tampering period began, but I wonder if they’ve now pivoted due to thinking the trade was most likely a done deal?

May I ask what your old handle was? I’m curious especially since you have been a member since 1999.
Normally I wouldn't answer the question but since you started it all, thats fine. I have had a few names over the years and due to it's a fan forum and not a bank account, I don't mind swapping out handles on a whim. My last one was rehiremora and for many years before that it was Spohawks. I forget after that.

I was just posting about the articles I have read. If people don't like the media (Which I am no fan myself) please take it up with them. If the take is ridiculous, then it's on them.

Saying JS messed up isn't over the top, it's looking at it from a 3rd persons point of view

I’m going to suggest you step away from your keyboard for the evening, take a few deep breaths and reconsider where you are posting.

I’m going to tell you straight up, you are sounding like a troll.
You’re certainly welcome to your opinions, it’s the presentation that’s suspect.

Please take this as friendly advice because that’s exactly what it is.

Guy joins NET in March and starts talking sh*t about Schneider who was the architect of two SuperBowl teams in two different Eras.

Something stinks here.

I'm thinking this "SeahawksJunkie" may be RAMS or NINERSJunkie.

I'm going to say it right now : This guy is NOT a Seahawks fan. AT ALL. (or at least he certainly acts more like he's an opposing fan coming over to troll)

Plus, if he was SPOHAWK/rehiremora, why did he feel the need to sign up under a new name when all he had to do was get a new password for his old name?

200
Unless he was sneaking back onto the board after he got "sent away" (if you get my drift)....

I did notice that SPOHAWK did have a couple of posts and then went silent which suggests my theory...

Anyway, back on topic :

I am interested to see where this whole Crosby rollercoaster ends up.

Imagine if he ends up here and turns out he was relatively healthy....oh my god. The sh*tstorm that would occur by the League and with the Ravens/RAiders...lol

I really dislike posters who join a forum cloaked in the team's name (SeahawksJunkie, in this case) and then using that cover to talk sh*t.

I'm going to say it right now : This guy is NOT a Seahawks fan. AT ALL.

I don't buy his 1999 story at all and him refusing to reveal who he was back then (since he "lost" his password....sure) is a red flag and very suspicious.

Right? And how many emails does this guy have that he's burning through so many each time he "forgets his password"? Spinning up new emails to create new .net accounts consistently seems to point more towards burning his reputation and needing to switch to an alter ego or maybe having been banned, not losing your passwords over and over and choosing not to use "forgot password" to recover your account.

Check out my recent post above.

It's obvious what that guy is doing.

But let's focus more on the subject matter of this thread and that is Maxx Crosby.

What a wild turn of events, man.

And if it ends with him as a Seahawk, I won't complain at all. ;)

Came to this thread looking for a Crosby to Seattle discussion. Instead, it's a lovers quarrel or some unrelated nonsense.
Sorry, Mista.

That's what happens when someone wants it to be about him and not the subject matter.

As far as Crosby goes, I hope JS is burning up Spytek's phone.

This has another JS-special written all over it.

He just has to get the Raiders to lower their price to at least one first and a 3rd and we're in business. (y)

I get this thought but the Rams seem to do it and they are at the top of the division every year.

I think ownership knew they were selling and wanted to show to the new buyer that we can balance a budget.

However we won the Super Bowl with a balanced budget, so it can be done
I understand what you're saying but JS has his own way of doing things, and that includes NOT overpaying players...or at least not since Pete left the building.

It would be crazy if we ended up with both Hendrickson and Crosby, though I don’t think we could afford both.

I've been apprehensive of a Crosby trade because of his iron man approach. First, we like to rotate to keep guys fresh. Second, it helped lead to this situation with his unwillingness to shut it down despite the teams shit record. It should only get worse if he continues like that, not looking at a long career.

I'm a bigger fan of going after Bradley Chubb. He already got his big 2nd contract and took a pay cut to stay on the Phins last year, so should be cheaper. Then potentially add an Edge in the draft to develop.

We had crazy depth on both lines last year. The “ready squad” played well when they had to fill in. We still have 10 of eleven starters on offense and defense. We clearly need to address the RB position due to Charb’s injury recovery time. Other than that we just need to choose the right kind of depth guys. I believe in our front office and the communication with the coaching staff to identify and pick up the right kind of guys to fill out the depth behind the starters. Things could change if DLaw decides to retire but right now I am believing we will make the right moves to remain one of, if not the, best defenses in the league. New OC is really a bigger question in my mind than the roster.
As many have posted, take yourself back to what the media said about our moves last offseason and then remember how it turned out. Repeating is nearly impossible. Let’s just keep “chasing edges” and “stacking plays.” Then we’ll see how it turns out.
If we add Crosby for the right deal that allows us to maintain a great 70 man roster, then Awesome! I think the depth is more important than having superstars.

Just my thoughts on some of the stuff I read through this thread:

Walker at 29 gtd and not being a consistent 3 down bell cow, Bryant at 26 gtd when Love is better and only got 13 gtd, and giving Mafe essentially what Leonard Williams got on paper when he is 3x the player is just bad business.

Would have gave Woolen same contract as Jobe with performance escalators based on passes defensed, tds given up, ints, tackles, playing time and accolades just to keep his head in the game. But McDonald was obviously done with him in his defense and his market was non-existent telling you that teams felt the same way about him that Macdonald and Schneider did, if you pay this guy is his heart going to be fully in it, if his heads already not?

Shaheed dont really love his contract but if you separate the WR from the STer like I did to something like 3 for 36 as a WR and 3 for 15 as an ACE returner. Then it doesn’t look quite as bad.

If he produces at least a 500, 5 TD or 600, 4 or 700, 3 type clips while continuing to perform at an All-Pro level Returner, his contract should break even considering teams are paying WRs these days about $1.25m to 1.50m per 100 yards and per TD. For instance, JSN season last year ranges from $35m to $42. So the math tracks. JSN is getting at least 40 per.

But I think with familiarity and continuity and chemistry Shaheed could become 700-5 type WR. The silver-lining is what I said when we got him if you frankenstein him to Tory Horton you have the recipe for quality #2. Shaheed is an elite deep threat and explosive gadget runner but because hes not a great route runner and doesnt have the best hands hes not dependable in the RZ or 3rd downs. However, Horton is a great route runner and has great hands and has potential to be elite in the facets Shaheed struggles in as WR which makes Horton and Shaheed very complementary. Definitely think they can be 1000, 10 TD type platoon and potentially 1200, 12 TD while both providing great to elite return ability, if they both stay healthy enough which they are helping each other do in a platoon and if Darnold and the Oline continues to trend up.

Speaking of Oline, everyone is worrying about the RB and lack their of but no one is mentioning Seahawks return the same 5 starters (if they dont upgrade Bradford) and the same OC coach for the first time in how long? Run blocking should continue to build off last year and as it did in the final 2 months.

RB room is not just an injured Charb, Holani, and MacIntosh as Jacardia Wright, Cam Akers, and Velus Jones all re-signed on futures and they’ll add to that pile. None of them are K9 but RBs are random enough that you could hit on a couple of those dudes, draft another, and help keep you at a competitive floor for Charbs to get healthy and ready. And again if the Oline improves and they are consistently opening holes, JAGs can be successful.

Now on to Crosby, medically I dont think they care, they are in a location and free agent destination that you have to buy high and kind of roll the dice because you arent going to entice many big fish that are healthy and in their prime, out of NBA, NFL, and MLB, I can think of one and thats Robinson Cano.

Seattle has always and probably will continue to have to force top players to come here by working the trade market.

If the Seahawks can get Crosby with #32 and a conditional ‘27 2nd/3rd round pick. I think they should roll the dice and pull the trigger. Best case scenario you get an elite pass rusher who should eat well behind our Defensive Front for two seasons that transforms your defense exponentially as I’m in the frame of mind having an edge that can basically teleport to the QB tremendously help a secondary that lost some depth and might not be as good as last year unless some players stay healthier and continue trending up and they hit on a throw-away free agent or draft a gem.

Mid-tier scenario you get a guy who is trending down and have to manage day to day but is still probably better then any edge at #32, probably much better than Mafe and Hall were last year combined and still gives good enough type of substance.

Worst case scenario you are out a 1st and 3rd and maybe hes cooked or oft-injured but he’s coaching guys up and giving insight like Kupp that still raises the floor. And the Seahawks do have a young Edge that compares very well to Crosby in size and athleticism in Connor O’toole. My adopt a rookie who imo just needs to understand the technical game, develop instincts on how to and when to, and just be more natural playing at his weight because he was basically recruited as a 205 pound WR/TE before transitioning to DE.

No Splash... because he doesn't make splashes...so true

He is destroying a Super bowl team. 42% of an offence is the running game and with a clutch Super Bowl MVP RB in hand, JS let's him go. Now we have to trade picks, or use picks just to pay huge for a lesser known player. And that's just one of JS's failures...so true

2 cornerbacks that started last year are gone. Some say the most important position in football...GONE...so true

I would go on but now that it's public knowledge that NFL teams use Bots to smooth over dumb decisions the teams make in fan forums, (I am not saying you are) but I am not wasting my time with paid bots.
Football has what many say is the most important position in all sports. That position is NOT CB. Lol come on man. Whoever told you that is wrong and should not be listened to.

I hate watching players go too, but JS is on budget and keeps us in contention without cap desperation.

JS is tearing this team apart and is cheap and he let proBowl caliber players go and he’s the dumbest GM in the NHL.

Ya'll need to be more positive. We did just win the Super Bowl, after all.
And you seemed bummed about it. Because it didn't look a certain way.
Misery loves company, you just don't have as much company as you want.

But you certainly got the attention you wanted. Maybe a contest between you and Anime?
