It honestly looks like the original logo put in a mirror.

Nah, the original logo looked morose or bored.

Very, very true.

FWIW I preferred the color scheme on the 2002-2011 one over the current one, but their both huge improvements over the original.

FWIW I've always loved this graphic, even though it's now a bit out of date: http://www.thesportsdesignblog.com/theg ... es-NFL.jpg

I love how nutty the 1933 Steelers logo was (the crest and castle that looks like a bizarre robot face), and the Lions are really the only team whose logo has gotten better with each iteration, IMO.

The new "logo" should have gone through a focus group first. Personally it is too early to switch to a new logo. The current logo is too cool to change for now. They should seriously reconsider that "eaglehead" logo.

Alternate. Not replacement. They're not switching to it.

By itself it does look a bit meh, but it might actually look OK incorporated into something such as on jersey sleeve.

The totem logo is not a physically accurate depiction of any bird, and I can understand the challenge in creating a forward-facing version of it that looks decent. Imagine your nose (ok, beak if you were a bird) being nearly parallel to the top of your head.

Kind of corny looking, but no matter how hard I try, I just can't muster up the energy to care. Go Hawks :irishdrinkers:

This isn't replacing our primary logo.

I don't like it. But I don't hate it enough to really care.

Ive noticed that broadcasts are using alternate logos. The espn game Monday Tennessee vs GT. They used a picture of the tennessee mascot (the basset hound or whatever it is) as the logo.

Again I really dont care.

As a graphic designer, I'm not a huge fan of it, but it does try to do a couple interesting things:

  • Tries to stylize the "totem pole" look
  • I think the blue negative space at the top that looks like a stylized diving/flying osprey is a fun concept
I just don't think the execution was pulled off.

This will be my last post in this thread, I will develop cancer if I stare at this debacle of a logo any longer. But what pisses me off the most is it doesn't even resemble a hawk head. It's literally the original logo mirrored in what looks like a text bubble on your phone. It's incredibly off setting and strange to look at. No joke, I got a headache from looking at it. The browns helmet features a more pleasing design to the eye....and that's saying something considering THERES NOTHING ON IT. If this logo is put anywhere on their jersey or helmet, I will personally build a time traveling machine and undo the stomping we gave Denver in SB48.

aHHHHHgggggh.

Bye thread.

Actually I did on FB...and was coming here to post it. You are quicker than I am sir. Now...if we had the bottom pic as our logo...that may be ok. LMAO

I was trying to find an appropriate image of a puck-like pastry with the filling running out into the foreground, but unless we're going to get Seahawk-themed Ding Dongs out of the deal I think this was a very, very bad idea.

Why is the skull a three-lobed hockey puck? And why is there a depression in the middle? Did Blitz's fontanel not fuse correctly when he was a chick?
